Well since you are young, I&#x27;d look long term. Play companies that will be around for another 25 years &#x2B;. Additionally find companies that pay a dividend along the way and reinvest those back in of course. A couple of companies I&#x27;ve held for a long time already and have room for much more growth are both 3M and Visa.Tossing some money into mutual funds is also an option. Perhaps a total return fund or target fund would be a good choice. Good luck!

I would never buy individual stocks. I suggest looking at good longterm growth no-load mutual funds. At least until you are comfortbale with doing your own research. And be sure to diversify.

There are many, many good sources online or at your local bookstore that will steer you correctly.

The above post is good also--especially if you get a mutual fund that invests in these type of stocks.

I would by 15k worth of UPS stock I work there been there 10 years when I started I think it was 62 bucks a share its now over 104 a share and company is getting bigger by the day. Just in Boston alone is 17/cranes building brand new 20 plus story office buildings that&#x27;s lot more volume and that&#x27;s just in Boston put it in and pound it in ten years u will have made some serious money

I would use it in the loil line, a bank or two and another 5 or 6K of it in pharma, people r getting older everyday, Hospitals and medical are going to make up 30% of GDp by 2025. Someday, not far from today, it will be 80% and that is all we will do, pay each other to take care of each other, and live as long as possible, how ironic..

Celgene, Phamacyclics, Jazz pharma, foundation med, biomarin, bicryst, catalyst, and especially avanir - which will soon have the first ALZ demensia drug, along with their depression, etc.. Will be gigantic ! And Concert pharma which supplies the idea behind longer lasting drugs, will balso be huge someday...

Guys, I know I am new and this is my 1st post so it doesnt give me a lick of credibility. I know of a great investment in a Canadian stock where you POSSIBLY can make an amazing return. I know the people who own this company and they are good guys and not scam artists in the OTC.BB market. 99% of penny stocks are scams (ie. Boiler Room & Wolf Of WallStreet)

The stock is WTWO and they are a Canadian energy company who has a special extraction machine for the CBD oil of Cannabis. They just announced yesterday they are merging into the Medical Marijuana sector and positioning themselves for the 2016 Green Rush. They have a patented extraction machine, unlike any in the industry. EVERYONE involved with legal grows and medical mary jane is going to want their machines. I am holding longterm til at least .01, but do your own D.D., call them up and ask all the ?s you want.

I just have a feeling this baby is going to pennies. I know with $15k you could get millions of shares, but do your own research and trust your instincts..I just see that there is a post with 22,000 views about the next hot MMJ stock. I believe WTWO is just that with their huge announcement they made yesterday. Goodluck Bennett with whatever you do.

Buy a few big name stocks and let it sit.  Medtronic (MDT), Apple - companies are only going to grow bigger.  All dividends, have them reinvested into more stock.  Don&#x27;t touch it, you&#x27;ll be happy in 20 years.

I live in Canada as well..first thing open up a TFSA and use that as ur trading acct..NO CAPITAL GAINS..Unheard of in the investing world..I only trade options so this is probably to high risk for a new trader or investor like yourself..Good trading platforms are Think or Swim..only thing is you CANT use your TFSA with this platform because they are US based and owned by TD Ameritrade..FANTASTIC research platform...So to be able to use your TFSA I opened a Questrade acct as well to execute the trades..just some information.

I will preface this with - I am not a financial advisor and you shouldn't be taking investment advice from most of these people. But given that statement - what is your risk tolerance? What are your investment goals? Investing isn't for everyone and if you are going to buy index funds stick to managing your 401k/IRA. I personally am a big believer of buying index funds but at these levels (after you could have tripled your money since 2008-2009) I am not chasing tops up here but leaving my long term longs. What is your time horizon? Do you want to day trade? Ask yourself at LEAST those questions before you make a decision because just like sports betting this sh!t isn't for everyone and you can blow $15,000 just as fast..... GOOD LUCK!

agreed. In the last 2.5-3  weeks i made an avg of 1000% in pcln alone. I bought pcln feb 3 1160 calls on 1/29 for avg of .75 - they traded as high as 13.00.  if you been in the game long enough you know there are no certainties only probabilities...
