QID getting some play in the aftermarket thursday. currently 30.32 @ 5.01 edt. that's up 0.38 from the late regular session (and 52 week) low of 29.94

see what happens tomarrow. even with the Roubini bunk today, I STILL like "the power of the dark side" esp after this "rally"

 agreed...the Roubini article was not that optimistic, but anything outside of gloom from him is interpreted as a bullish sign.

 Do not think the American consumer is coming back any time soon, no matter how supposedly wonderful the news has been this week...

  I have not seen as much spinning of horseshit since Bubba Bill was redefining the meaning of sex.

flat market friday after the rally this week. CIT "snaproll" was the trade of the day for those that had the guts to buy below 50 cents. S&P and NASDAQ indexes down slightly BUT SPY and QQQQ up on the day tells me the speculators are getting long and they are probably correct in the short term.

well big jump in CIT monday on that news. will see if it lasts. also ran some shorts in LVS and WYNN BUT I still don't think it lasts. got off a 2k ss on LVS @ 10 @ 2:45 edt. close 9.85. holding overnight and will see what happens. will add another 1k if it gets another up spike. STILL think these gamers have BIG trouble esp in Las Vegas.
 
btw, I made a snarky thread about right wing squirrelly Sinclair Broadcasting (SBGI) about a week ago in the Political Forum when thay warned of a possable bankruptcy. at the time, the stock had spiked down to a multiyear low of 0.85. well "Da Rat" forgot that in a worst case situation, some media group like Rupert Murdock's News Corp (NWS) would probably BUY them or at least a portion of their holdings. since that spike down move a week ago, the stock has recovered to a current price in the 1.50 area.

for some reason the rental car compamies haven't been hurt by the recession that much. Hertz (HTZ) chart very similar. which ever "anal"yst that made a call on these companies 6 months ago is one of the few that deserves their bonus.

Thanks guys, like you said...sad part is the state of the economy and travel industry still isn't good...which puts this baby at a potential 1500-2000 return down the road.  My worry is exactly what you said, the sheets are horrible...but seemingly the company is making every right move in this recession.

My dad had me buy SPNG...any potential in this stock or is this one of those penny stocks with HUGE volume that never moves as people are putting huge shorts on it?

Sold half my CRDC purchased at 1.35 for 1.95

Good news for sure but I have the feeling I will be able to buy again at 1.35 in the future, that or I have to settle with a 50% gain on the shares sold today.

is it just me or has anyone else notice that the market volume seems to have dried up this last day of July? I'm watching the gamers and ex for LVS getting bashed after their reported loss, everything else has about half their avg daily volume.

Had a FAZ order in at 32 today, so far they took it to 32.01
