I just tried LT and it works

got out of the nzd/usd sell, lost just shy of 20 pips, figured i'll stick to the one open position for now.

Yeah i go for 20 pips on the ADX/DI crosses..........JPY was an easy one today...

NZD looks to be on a mission...theres also alot of $$$$ not in the market due to the holidays so movement can be CRAZY

yea i've ridden nzd for the last two days, been buying and made good $$$ even though it looks like earlier today i left about 50 pips on the table. i thought it was gonna turn down, which it still may, but i'll stick it out with jpy

I try to get in and ot ASAP...but thats me..and for the most part the trades i get into are trades that are against the trend thats going on...something most experts say is wrong to do,but to this point its worked out fine...

I think JPY will keep going up but it looks kinda tired so it prob gives some back for  now...

anything looking good today? i've been having problems with forex.com when i add the indicators to my charts, don't know if it's b/c i'm at work or something with their system. 

i can still get on and make a trade, just not able to analyze the charts like i need to.  let me know, thanks.

got in on a eur/jpy sell at 133.368, rsi was mid 70's, di+ crossed below adx, trying to pick up about 20-30 pips before the week ends.

30....could've stayed in longer and got 50 but i was sleeping and had my limit set to 30

Nothing wrong with that...once you build up your account and can trade more lots its just that much more $$$$$...time has been my problem as well but i plan on fixing that soon...

I sold GBP didnt get nearly what i should have but profit is profit....looking hard at buying EUR/GBP Wall,Pop or Rick anybody for that matter....any take on that chart?

are you waiting for the di+ to go up and cross the adx?  i was able to look at it and i've got:

rsi 29

di+ 18

adx 25

one thing i learned today is to drill down to a smaller time period chart to find a better position.  on my entry today i sold once i saw the indicators lined up.  if i would've drilled down to the 15 min chart i would've seen a better entry point about 10 pips higher.  doesn't sound like much, and i don't know if it'll always work out that way, but it's something that would allow me to exit my positions quicker, and i would've been trading in the black for the last hour or so. instead of being negative and waiting for it to turn my way.

eur/jpy did what it was supposed to do.  made out with 30 pip profit.  have a good weekend and happy new year everyone!!

I didnt get to trade anything else...cable went out for a few hrs this afternoon..i just like the look of that 4hr EUR/GBP..

Might have been able to get 10 pips at most out of it so no big deal....

Well guys another year is gone...seems like they go by quicker now...

Think my RSI settings are wrong. Under preferances on the chart, I selected RSI3 under Technical Indicators. Then set Value at 114. If I put in 14,0,0 then RSI does not work at all.

Is this the right place?

change the setting to the RSI using the parameters tab next to tech studies

Is tech studies the same as tech indicators? I can not find tech studies is it on the practice account? Could you tell me if it is on the right, left or top of the chart?

For the EUR/USD pair I have a  RSI of 40.59.

Under line study parameters, I only see fibonacci studies. No RSI [sma]. Do I need to add it some how?

Now EUR/USD RSI is 45.28

Im reading 50...after putting indicators on the chart i get the option of adjust the RSI,DMI zoom and shift in the drop down bar

49.7717 is the reading at the moment

 

Not getting that option must not be in the practice account. Noticed that the RSI changed when I zoomed in to just show the last day. How many candlesticks should I be looking at, at a time?

Was able to show a 1000 profit last week. What are the mistakes the people make that takes out thier stakes?
