Looking at rural Maine.not interested in southern Maine.
land is about 5000-15000for an avg. Couple acres building lots with no improvements. Septic costs around 4000 artisian well another 4000 lighting driveway and landscaping another 2000 so for around 25000 you could start new construction. Distressed property is by far less expensive. You can buy the lot for half the price 15000 in Danforth Maine near Holton has a property with a destroyed trailer for 18000 asking price. Remove the trailer and you have your building lot on an acre with well septic for half the money.
Buying property in vegas I am not familiar with.
But I have time, the aroostook county in Maine is close to a third of all Maine very sparse populations homes are very inexpensive. But in need of huge repair costs. So far the ones I have seen. Kind of locked down to four different properties. Like to have a small house on or near a lake with a total expendature of under 25000 seen one in Sinclair near madawaska, but not sure it in a lake community with row to long lake . But the lot is a friggen postage stamp. So still looking, want something so later on down the road maybe able to divide into a couple of lots....
