I have only used forex.com ,and fxcm's platforms, and it all has to do with the interface.
I can keep 8 charts up with all of my saved prefernces on one screen and be able to notice trends @ work,
they have a mobile feature so I can close positions while im in my car, work, in-laws etc.
But most of all i got the thumbs up from a buddy of mine who has been investing and doing forex for a while and used a lot of different brokers before finding a home at thinkorswim
I beleive td ameritrade just bought them,
there is a lot of info if you check some other forums too.

probably wont get back in again but if it breaks this fib level on the 15min chart 124.90 which it has tried twice i think it should drop down another 50. 2 and 4hr charts show possible dmi cross of adx coming up, but they are low at around 20. rsi pretty high though in the 60-70

do you guys use pivot points at all? i really like using them to determing entry/exit points, etc. looking at a shorter timeframe such as 15min if you have the daily pivot points (pivot point plus 3 supports/3resistance levels) plotted on the charts you can really notice how price moves through the pivotpoint to the next support/resistance consolidates a bit then moves back or moves to the next level. im using the "AutoPivotIndicator" for MT4 and it automatically plots the daily levels on your charts. good stuff

I dont use pivot points but I look at the chart draw those lines by sight..like yesterday where I said if that pair dropped through support on the 5 min chart it was a disaster waiting, and it did and fell I think 200 pips.
You are right though..knowing where those support/resistance lines are can only HELP make a better entry and exit and are better used on shorter durations than a 4 hr chart.
rick,
I am concerned about the newness of thinkorswim, but those spreads sound mighty nice to be honest and this might seem ODD but I would almost prefer a foreign firm to a US firm, and dont they not have mini accts? Just the big boy and nothing smaller?

definitely wall... looking at the shorter time frames you can probably guess or see where these levels are just by eye. i dont have much experience looking at charts so it really helps seeing them plotted out cause they really do work.

Was hoping id be out with my limit by now cause i want to make another trade in next 20 mins here....i just took alittle over $200...
I like the 2hr CHF chart and if it holds up the 4hr could have a cross..
GBP/USD has crossed but the chart is kinda in limbo...EUR/GBP is crossing but the +DMI is low at 21,but i would only need 30 pips for a nice chunk of change...few options out there looking to pull trigger at 3am
