I have traded the markets for 35 years. I see thing much differently. It is my business and I know it. If you are a mechanic if would be difficult for you to explain to me how to rebuild an engine. However, I will tell you that logic and 1 &#x2B; 1 will not work in the short term. The system uses the capital markets to survive. The reason stocks move has nothing to do with what you have been taught. It is a virtual reality created to deceive. I am here to uncover that illusion for you. The best way to understand is to observe and keep a diary of what you see and herar and who said it. When people act it is because they see movement and logical reasons to act. I suggest that instead acting with what you want to do write it down and then wait to see what happens .I will answer specic questions and help where I can

What I try to do is to build a long term senario based on economic reality and then gut it out. This is my long term senario.

!. The economy is bad and will remain bad for the next 2 years

2. The last buble was the oil and commodities market ..That bubble is bursting.

3. The world economy is will be weaker than the US

Therefore I want to be short commodity and oil when I get the opportunity I only want to go long the stock market when it is very oversold and take only short term trades.

With respect to buy and sell points There are a set of rules that traders follow. The market makers are generally selling when you buy and buying when you sell. The traders go by the numbers. I look at charts to guide me. I also listen the the market chatter to give me a feel for the trade. If you have questions I wiil answer, sometimes those answers will not satisfy you. I only trade institution stocks. I cant help you with low priced stocks.

By the way I can be whipsawed on my short term trades I use stops and sometimes get to cute on my trades...I basically keep only a small portion of my money for trading. I build core positions in the stocks that fit my long term senarion. I will change the emphasis of these sotocks depending on what the chart looks like

I am pretty flat on my account right I am negative on oil but expect a rally and have reduced my position in the DUG ..My long term favorite. Too many oil bears for me in the short term with the stock going up to its 200 day . I will reestablish that sale at the 50 day average. Now about 30 to 31

t to be very clear on my thinking here.  WE ARE IN A LONG TERM BEAR MARKET. I am not going to buy ANYTHING to hold because it is CHEAP. I have learned things that are cheap get cheaper until you spit them out. The time element on value investing is alot longer than most people can tolerate. I only enter the market for quick trades and then get back to the sidelines. If I reccomend a long position is it just a trade. If I reccomend a short position it is a long term hold

I agree with that.Before a bull market can start we need to go lower than these prices. I wouldnt start thinking bull until we go below 10k, maybe even lower. That doesnt mean some stocks cannot do well or like you say we cannot have tradeable bear traps etc.
