Here's a little bit about my financial situation:
I am 40, wife 35. we refi and cashed out 300K and this amount has been in our CD accounts for over 3 yrs, making a very little interest. again, the plan was to use this $ as down payment for property investments for my kids.
* Annual house hold Income 140K => 7K take home per month
* Mortgage Loan Amount - 335K => 2100 a month;home/healthcare insurance/childcare/foods/utilities/family spending => 2500 month.
* No other debts - vehicles own free and clear
Due to our economics downturn I have changed my mind. I believe investing $ in the stocks market is better than investing in RE properties since RE cycle will take longer to turn around. I see many blue chips stocks are way under value and was thinking about dumping 2/3 of my $ on their stocks. I believe in America's Banking System. Banks will make their $ as long as they make some adjustment in the policies and they should be on their way back to business as usual.
due to the volatile market should I put $ in the stock market and live with worry and stress? should i just pay off the house and spend more time with the kids, and enjoy living the american's dream?
