Best Place to Live in Vegas

Question

I lived in Vegas for a few months. I found a place of Craigslist and lived in a community near the Strip.

Rent was cheap, but the place was a shit hole.

I may be moving out there again, so to the locals;

Where's a nice place to live (one room apartment, decent rent - I'll pay more to get more)?

Summerlin area...&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;i am moving back to Vegas before the end of the year. florida blows. &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;i would think there has to be cheap rent all over the place and for nice places the way the housing market stinks. summerlin is a nice area... up near hualapai/town center/ flamingo that area, near the red rock.

Yeah, I&#x27;m thinking Summerlin as well.I was going to grad school, so to kill some time I spent the summer living in Vegas working at a casino and UNLV.Still looking for a job in Vegas, so either there or NY.Good advice.

I bought a house in Summerlin.  There are lots of condos out here here as well, for rent that is.  But, honestly, if I were single, I&#x27;d live almost anywhere west of Decatur.  Henderson/Green Valley is a good option as well.  If I were you, I&#x27;d also look for rentals in the Spring Valley area as well.  It&#x27;s cheaper than Summerlin and closer to the strip.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;GL.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Oh, but I have to comment though, you&#x27;re always quick to point out how shitty the bars and stuff are out here, now you&#x27;re moving here?

anywhere near Green Valley Ranch Casino or Red Rock Casino...I reside next to the former Summerlin a tad bit pricier than GV, but both are very nice

There are nice apartment complexes too around here. I live by the Red Rock (I can walk there if I really wanted to).  There&#x27;s a nice complex at the west end of Sahara at the 215.  I see houses for rent too.  Judging by the size, and guessing the mortgage payment, I&#x27;d say you could probably get one for around 1400 a month.

yeah im moving back there in about 6 months i think...just gonna save some $ so i have enough in case a job doesnt come right away. i have a job here but i hate the area.  ill get hired fast but just in case

I was renting a 1br Apt. just off Eastern by St Rose hospital for 685 a month before i bought my house. Nice place, 3 pools, exercise room, the whole 9 yards. 5 min from Greev Valley ranch and walking distance to about 15 bars and resturants.

I plan to move to Vegas in about 2 in a half years when I get out of the Marines. Planning on going to UNLV. This has nothing to do with anything, but Vegas is the shit, lol.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Good Luck Man

I mean I will be 24 with a Top Secret Security Clearence, so I should be able to find a decent job. Who knows though. Only live once though, so I am going to give it a shot.
