There's a couple buffet posts if you scroll back a few pages. With that said, what means "best" to you? Caesars' new buffet is probably the top as far as quality and selection, but I'm not sure it's worth that price.
Wynn has a solid buffet. Planet Hollywood is also pretty good. I wouldn't do Flamingo or Harrahs.

What was amazing about Mandalay? Do they offer crab legs or lobster? What was the best entrée? Is there prime rib, and if so, is it rare? Can you get overeasy eggs from the omelet station? You ever put runny eggs on a greek salad?
One think I must admit is I am morbidly obese and just love food. In no other place on earth can I consume more calories per meal than Las Vegas. Last time we had the pass that let you into any participating buffet. Made them rethink their strategy.

kind of off the strip but the M has the best buffet hands down, free beer and wine, yes, FREE beer and wine, good stuff too not cheap shyt solid variety and all food is in the buffet line for a max of 20 minutes before it is removed and replaced with fresh product, out of state license gets $5 off the price and even still it was only like 20 bucks per person
