Bills Gambling Hall .......anybody have a review?

Been to vegas before but never actually went into this place. i love its location and know its cheap as far as rooms go. Just wondering if anyone has stayed there.

Didn't stay there, but went there a few times for some really cheap drinks! Decent atmosphere, and usually pretty busy. Definitely worth a pass through while walking the strip.

Smells old there. Yes it is cheap and with that comes all the bad things that comes along with a cheap hotel. White trash everywhere...thugs...room temp beer served in small glasses that you gotta hope are clean when you get one. Very crowded tables. Upside is the have a hot dog cart right outside the book...50 cent dogs! The way things are going out here now you are soo much better off staying at the Mirage or Ballys for 10-15 buccks a night more.

I agree.  Probably not the Bellagio, but you could definitely find MGM for a great price.  We went out there back in March, and got some great deals.  Not as centrally located as Bill's, but not even close when it comes to class.  Check out SmarterVegas.com... they got some great MGM deals.

Here is my review

Bills Gambling Hall is centrally located in the middle of the Las Vegas strip and is surrounded by places that are a billion times better to go in to spend your time and $

We always stop there for a cheap drink and a laugh at Fat Elvis.  Does a free show, seems to be around happy hour if I remember right.   Had much more fun at O'Sheas right in the same area.  Also if you want to stop for a cheap beer on the strip go to Casino Royale.  As of January '09 still had $1.00 michelob bottles.

Knew it as the Barbary Coast years ago (Michael Gaughan originally owned it) ... haven't been there since the change.

I think you are right, no pool. The only attractions are the fine dining and location is the best. I think drais is now at southpoint or something

No pool...but Bill's guests are allowed to use the Flamingo pool.  Flamingo has a pretty nice pool.

Guys If you stay at Bill's and gamble everywhere else how is that going to affect your comp???   Bill's does have the shuttle to Orleans which is good too.  and a cheap as liquor store next door.

shuttle down to the orleans does not sound that sweet to me, orleans rates pretty solid for me as far as rooms go but not worth a trip off strip just to visit,,whats the point

The point is it is one of the best poker rooms by far and easily the best oyster bar in town.....Also titty bar across the street if thats your thing.(plenty of eye candy on strip)

NCAA basketball Thanksgiving tourney games also played at Orleans Arena, not thomas & Mack.  Have you ever bet a game then watched it live?
