Fairly new to it and keep it simple when I play till I fully understand all the bets and their odds. Love the game though, especially when you get at a fun table.

C'mon, not for actual money, just practice on sportsbook.com.  I would never put money on a internet table game!!! I read up on some basic strategy then tried to follow in the practice section.

We play small time and have a lot of fun and drinks.  Simple strategy for me is drop a hundred on the table to start.  Play $5-$10 the pass line and back it up with 2-4 times odds and play the six and eight.  We usually shoot for $150-200 profit and walk away no matter how quick it happens.  Simple strategy but not a lot of money at stake.  Brought home more than I left with the last three times out.  I play only craps and bet on games.   Can't even get into blackjack since I started playing craps.  So much fun when you get a hot table with a bunch of fun people.

I play blackjack and craps, have studied both quite a bit. I play craps very aggressively, start out by placing bets on all numbers. By placing bets you win after the first time a number is hit, if you play pass and come you don't win until the number is hit a second time. If table is cold or choppy I'll bet smaller, maybe even just bet the six and eight until table turns around.

my advice...pass line with full odds or don't pass line with full odds.  qualify the shooter.  don't be afraid to switch from pass to don't pass.

i'm superstitious, but i don't understand the people who get so offended when you play don't pass.  it's just a bet.

Craps is the only table game I play.

redhook is correct, free odds behind the line is the only bet in the casino with no house edge.

My advice is to decide on a system and stick with it. I have a win goal and a loss limit, so I leave the pit with money every single time I play, no matter if it is hot or cold. Remember to have some financial discipline, but that is good advice for any game in the casino, not just craps.

A somewhat 'brainless' way of playing craps is to wait for the shooter to hit a number on the come out roll, then bet 5,6,8 and the Field. That way you have every single number covered except seven, so you win on every single roll as long as they don't roll a seven. Just remember to keep putting your field bet out there after every 5,6, or 8 is rolled. After four numbers are hit, you are in the money, and can just keep going. This is a real easy way to make a lot of quick money, as long as the shooter keeps rolling numbers.

I bet the pass line and any craps as insurance every time I come out, and then bet any craps when I am betting on the come line.

Craps is a very simple game; easiest way to learn is to go to one of the classes they offer at the casinos (usually at 10-11 am) or just go up and start watching a pit, and talk to the pit bosses. They'll explain the game to you.

i'm superstitious, but i don't understand the people who get so offended when you play don't pass.  it's just a bet.

Some people need to understand you aren't at the pit to make friends, you are there to make money.

I started playing dice when I moved to LV.

Blackjack is just way to conservative and boring.  Win one then lose one and so one.  And when you think you got a read of the cards dealer pulls a 5 card 21 to smoke your 2 face cards.

Craps is pure gambling.  Either you can win alot of money real quick or you can lose real quick.  What I don't understand about craps is, why is it that the best streaks happen when somebody who has never been in a casino before and can't keep the dice on the table always has the best rolls?

Chef,  so so true.   Isn't it funny when you get some blinged up "brotha"  step up and do the typical dice flips, shuffle, hand wipe on the table, throw followed by the mandatory SNAP.   And he craps out after the come out.  Always get a little inside chuckle even when I lose my bets.

Then the dice pass to some young chick with no clue and she rolls for 15-20 minutes and makes you bank.    Can't beat the excitement of a hot craps table.

Craps is the BEST table game in Vegas if you play it right!

I bet the pass line, $5-10 or $15 bucks normally, back it up with double odds and then I'll bet the come, once if someone is unproven, twice if someone is shooting well and three times if someone is super hot. Then I back those numbers up with double odds.  You want a female to look like she's NEVER rolled before, you want a guy to look like it's all he does (I prefer guys who look like Joe Pesci)

Best roll I ever saw was this hot little thing, probably 22, on a Saturday night at the Palms, with her 3 girlfriends trying to drag her off to a club.  She kept saying "do I have to keep rolling?" and we were all like "Yes!"  finally the biggest stack at the table, who was probably up $10K on her roll, goes over and hands her a black chip and says "keep rolling".  Her friends were like, "is that $100?" amazing.   Damn, I feel like getting in the car and driving there right now

I always believe female "craps virgins" are lucky. They just seem to have really good rolls.

The "blinged out brothers" are usually wonderful if you are a don't bettor.

Dorky UFC fans are great if you're betting the DON'T side....BET more on the DON'T if they're wearing TIGHT-ass Ed Hardy shirts.

If you're a serious craps bettor, case the table before entering the game. You want to avoid DON'T bettors and GRUMPY old men (they keep a table COLD). And there's nothing worse than a short roll 7-out, so avoid virgin women shooters or old fogeys trying to roll out of their wheelchairs.
