I see you&#x27;re new here, or you&#x27;ve just changed your username...in either case, you may or may not know that any other type of gambling conversations on here usually gets highjacked by one or two (usually just one poster in particular).  &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;You can&#x27;t even discuss getting an edge on any other type of gambling without getting 3000 word replies telling you what a moron you are.  &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;I will say this though, craps has one of the lowest house edges of all the casino games, and if you can add even a fraction to that, then it&#x27;s worth it.  &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;My advice is this, buy real casino dice and practice. Do you live near a casino?  If so, find a low limit table and try it.  After several sessions, come back here and report what you think.

A well known author says he met a guy who could throw and avoid 7
for extended periods(40-60) throws and he teamed-up and made money.The shooter would set the dice and throw to a dead spot at
the end.He accomplished this by buying a craptable and practice.The
author had written about gambling and craps , his name was something like Scolease(sp.?) With the eggcrate bumpers on most
tables this would have to be an exact exercise.I've seen many who swear by settingdice I 've seen none who are exact.

I had it down one time for about 3 rolls before the pit boss told me that I had to hit the back.

I deal dice here in vegas at 2 casinos, one local and one on the strip,  have watched you dice setters for over 20 years,  very rare one rolls a good hand,  there is a reason we let you set the dice and hit the back wall can you say LOSERS

I never roll the dice.  I played craps every night in Vegas last week and won about $1,200.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;My betting was simple.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;I let the roller hit the point.  I then put down my money on 6 and 8.  I let the roller either hit my # or crap out within his first 3 tries.  Sometimes I would let it go 4 throws.  Then once it hit 6 or 8 in those first few throws i took my money off the table.  If he hadnt hit my # or crapped after 3 or 4 tries I asked to be "off" the table and got my money back.  This was annoying the shit out of 2 of the 3 dealers but i didnt care and tipped the one lady who was very nice to me $50 each nite.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;This is a method some use and i wanted to give it a try.  It seemed to work for me so it might be something you want to try as opposed to trying to set dice which wont work.

There is a casino to the right of Union Plaza downtown, I think called the palace station, anyway take the escalator upstairs and there is a wall of crapshooter honors.There is one nationality and a few folks who are up there repeatedly. Now I am not saying anyone can do it, but it does look like some with practice,can and do.

[/Quote]&#xD;&#xA;The hotel you are talking about is the California and their clientle is probably 90% Hawaiian.  Hawaiians love to gamble no doubt about it.  But to say that these guys are part of a group is a little far-fetched.&#xD;&#xA;Can you set dice?  I would say of the million who try and think they can, only one or two could do actually "do it".  And by "do it" I mean that they have bought an actual craps table and practiced throwing for hours and hours on end and by the end of it they can throw a 7 when they wanted to maybe 70% of the time?  I dont think they can throw any number, anytime they want at a successful rate.

I actually have tinkered with setting dice for a long time and have actually come up with a solid method, no lie. This might just be lucky for me, but here is what works for me. Set the dice at 1 and 2, the one being the left dice. I make sure I am just to the left of the stickman, also important, since it is the shortest distance and control to the back wall you will be hitting. I give it a simple toss with a sort of &#x27;three finger&#x27; hold (middle finger in front of the one dice and the pointer in front of the two dice, with my thumb holding in the middle back of the two), keeping the dice as close as possible together. Don&#x27;t toss it too high (meaning keep it about as high as the outer rim of the table) and get it to bounce as close to the end wall as possible, getting it to roll over just once (make sure there are no chips that are gonna fuck with the roll either). Anyways, with this method you will hit a ton of low numbers, 2 thru 6 alot. Great method for place bets (like 4 and 5&#x27;s). Not good for a come out roll and not great to hit high numbers either. I use this toss method everytime I play, sometimes I go 20-30 rolls with no 7. I play all the time, so it doesn&#x27;t seem to be just a random luck thing at this point. make sure both dice are exact, regardless of the #. so same # on top, and same #'s on right and left of dice. try to throw dice with a nice little toss, a little back spin, land softly against the back wall. practice practice practice. best to throw from the middle of the table. key is setting the dice the same. you will still eventually crap out, but could have a decent run.
