Going to Vegas Tommorrow: Help A Covers Veteran Out By Recommending Best Sportsbook For FREE DRINKS...

Hi All:

 

Been several years since I've been to Vegas.

Anyway, was HEARING THAT ALOT OF SPORTSBOOKS
USING DRINK TICKETS NOW! HOLY COW! OUCH!
In the past i would book with pinnacle in my room on my laptop
(their super low juice), and watch the games in sportsbook

and get tons of FREE DRINKS! Is this still possible?

I would hang alot in the Bellagio and sit close to the outer part of the sportsbook where the waitresses pass by and every few minutes would get a FREE $10 drink or however much they were.... Well you all get the point...

 

IS THIS STILL POSSIBLE AT BELLAGIO??

IF YES OR NO, WHICH SPORTSBOOKS GIVE FREE DRINKS?

 

(I MEAN MAY DO A  BIT OF ACTION OUT THERE BUT COMPARED TO MATCHBOOK AND STUFF YOU'D HAVE TO
BE A FOOL TO PLACE HEAVIER ACTION IN VEGAS!).

 

Thanks a million in advance guys and ALSO  for anyone who wants to rendevous out there i can ditch my old lady and kid for a day.
P.S. I hope a bunch of you read my thread to pound OSU last saturday and some of you took my advice, (which was my pick of the season).

Anyone, Anyone? Buller? Buller?

I asked the same question and it dangled like a meatball for a week.  I don't think covers members from vegas are into drinking in sportsbooks.  I was so concerned about the prospect of having to buy $6 drinks while watching games that I booked a trip to Colorado to ski (March) instead of going to Vegas.

 

I did hear from a buddy who doesn't hang out on degenerate gambling sites that the Bellagio will still serve free drinks if you have a game ticket.

 

Why don't any member from Vegas want to address this?

are you serious?  you want to go and gamble in the most expensive gambling town in the word but you're too cheap to buy a drink?

Vegas is useless to me without free drinks.  I don't enjoy poker enough to go just for the cards alone.  Slots are for old women.  Shows are a little gay for me.  I don't go clubbing.  Stripclubs are ok but there are top notch clubs where I live.  I like blackjack ok but I can play that on the casino boat here.  I love the atmospere of the sportsbooks IF I can drink for free.  I can easily drink $500 worth of booze while enjoying a game or two.  THAT is exactly why I go to Vegas.  Without the free drinks I can go to a sportsbar anywhere and drink for 1/5 the price.

 

Holy shit dude, please tell me you were just trying to be funny.

NJDevils lives in Vegas, but I'm not sure he drinks.  I would still think he might be able to help you out.

Bellagio should still be cool for free drinks.  Most waitresses will bring you a bunch of tickets if you tip them a $20 spot.

Who the fuck wants to hang out with bunch of idiot fucking squares, screaming that big screen because of their ten dollar fucking parlay????  Not to mention, fighting for seat, fighting the crowds, trying to find a place to park (and then worrying about driving home drunk)...when I can watch the game in my living room.  The list is actually longer than that.

 

As far as juice in Vegas, there are places in town that offer a nickel line on just about everything, the Plaza being one...fyi.

As far as drinking for free..well..do you want my honest opinion???  I'll give it to you anyway....if you're in Vegas, that means you're on VACATION. If you can't afford to buy a fucking beer every now and then, then stay the fuck home and gamble from your laptop with better juice (lol).

 

I've only lived here for about four months now, but I used to visit alot (6 or more times a year). I don't understand you guys whining about free fucking drinks.  Just an FYI, anyone one that knows me, know that I'm a social alcoholic, as in, I'm at the bars and casinos almost every night drinking like a fish.  For me, even when I came here to visit, I was wasting a whole fucking day in sportsbook hanging with a bunch of dudes (males, men, boys) groveling for free beers.  There's too much other shit to do her...first and foremost - finding some fucking box or whatever, NOT hanging with a bunch of dudes dealing with the stuff I mentioned above.  My advice is, if that's not your thing, and you're worried about free beer at the dude feast, don't come.

 

Just another FYI...you still can get free booze in most sportsbooks.  Just as the ticketwriter, be nice to them and tip. Same with the waitresses.  Tip them well with the first drink ticket you give them, and they'll take care of you.  It's not that big a deal.

I just re-read my post.  Sorry guys, in a bad mood today. I'm insinuating that any of you are cheap or should stay home (even though I said that). It's just that this topic comes up almost once a week on here.  That's the reason most locals don't reply.

 

Have a good time in Vegas, do what you want. And, if you try, you can get your free drinks.  They just don't give them away like water like they used to.  Vegas has changed. But, don't worry, it will come full circle.  Most people are stretching their budgets to come in and stay in the cool hotels and do the "cool" shit....all high dollar.  I understand that's why people want thier $.99 buffets and free drinks.  When hotel rooms are $250 + a night, I can see why.

Dog is still shitting in our yard almost everynight sometime when we're sleeping. We've ordered a product called "Liquid Fence."  It just came in the mail the today.  It's guaranteed to work.  So, we'll see.

Vegas without free drinks

It's not like Breckinridge is cheap either bro.  I'm not going to slink around the strip looking for free drinks based on some college kids advice from a gambling site.  No free drinks=extra $2,000 for me and the wife on top of the shitty $300 hotel room.

I wasn't picking on you personally.  So before you flame my ass, it sounds like you honestly don't give a shit about Vegas other than the free drinks.  If that's you're deal, then that's your deal.

I understand. And I totally agree with you about slinking around looking for free drinks -that's just lame.  Hence my rant about being on vacation and bucking up for one now and then.  But, like I said, it's really not that hard to get free drinks, but it can be a hassle and I know where your coming from. 

 

I used to live in a couple of hours north of Breckinridge, I know it's not cheap.  You ever check out Steamboat?  It's very cool, a little less expensive and a bigger, better mountain imho. 

Breckenridge works best for my family.  I'm the only one who skis.  The wife likes shopping there and I have people in Denver.

 

I used to live in Durango and I taught ski lessons for a couple of seasons back when the mountain was called purgatory.  I have been to most mountains with the exception of Steamboat.  Here's how I rate them-

 

1) Telluride

2) Vail

3) crested butte

4) wolf creek

6) monarch

7) A Basin

8) Breck

 

I still say Utah is the best
