Question

Hey, I&#x27;m heading to Vegas with 6-7 friends in April. We&#x27;re looking into renting a house instead of staying at a hotel. Has anybody done this before? Any recommendations? We hope to be withing walking distance of the strip (CP/Paris/Oshea&#x27;s) and spend around $2000/week for the house.

Ill be the 1st to tell you DONT DO IT. I could give you 1000 reasons why not to do it as I am sure every local on here would agree. The main one being that there are not many nice houses withing walking distance of the strip. Imaging this guy when he goes to look for houses on Koval lane?....hahahah

ya you dont wanna be in a house within walking distance of the strip unless you wanna drive by tank.......it aint pretty down there......

How about this site https://www.vacationrentalslv.com/ possibly looking at "The Grand Palace" or "Le'Grand Chateau". It's a driving distance away from the strip.

The best thing for guys to do would be go in on a big suite or get joining rooms at one of the hotels.

Koval Avenue has some houses of "ill repute".....gangs are plentiful and renting a house opens you up for more trouble than you can ever expect.

If you want to get something behind the Sahara or the adjacent hotel, I am sure that you can get something you would really love. Cough, cough.

Green Valley, or Summerlin, or The Lakes, but other than that, stay away from "houses" on the strip or even close to the strip. You have no idea what you will be getting yourself into if you even find one.

It is not the houses that you mentioned, but the fact of damage control (literally).  You open yourself up for damage from other people not in your party so to speak, outside sources.  I&#x27;ve lived in Vegas for two years in Summerlin, and you are better off staying off the strip if you are going to spend a week there.  Believe me when I say the last thing you want to do is go walking around off the strip on N. Vegas Blvd to Old Town Vegas.  You can stay at the Nugget or Four Queens for a reasonable rate in old town if money is the problem.  But the strip is expensive, especially if you are going to party for a whole week or so.

LOL. what I am saying is that if you rent a house in vegas, you could be killed by a traveling band of sex gypses. not worth it! lol
