it is a great weekend my friend. nothing like it. i also prefer the warmer days sitting by the pool etc but superbowl weekend with the superbowl parties are awesome. also, please do try il mulino, they show you the lamb chops to see if you approve of them and then bring a grill out to your table to grill them. simply delicious. again, enjoy your time in "heaven". trying to get the wife to agree to go out thanxgiving weekend since the restaurant i own is closed thurs until sunday. but its not working lol.

i know you live there MWC but i don't think i could ever live there. my uncle was living in vegas for about 3 years, he came from chicago, and i used to go out about 2 times a month from dc area to visit and see friends and i could tell you that it got old quick. i now enjoy going out about 3-4 times a year. there's nothing like the excitement for a vegas trip. when i was going out there 2 times a month it wasn't the same feeling.

im not talking about living there, im saying the partying, and everything else got old to me so now i enjoy going out every so often. going that much took alot of the excitement out of going. that is what i was trying to say.

I'm at the Flamingo. Thursday. - Monday full comp. Southwest Airlines Sacr. - LV $79 each way. We are a group of 8 so far.
Last year Covers.com had a welcome party at, I believe, Ballys. Drinks, appitizers and guest speakers. I hope they do it this year.
I might join JohnZimbo at South Point. It is really a great casino off the strip. I also hear the TI theater Superbowl party is pretty neat. I can get you more info as it gets closer. Las Vegas can no longer charge for Superbowl parties. So all the big parties at the casinos are for invited guests.
I know some of you like the warmer weather, but LV is not bad in Feb. We got some good golfing in last year at the Legacy golf course.
Dam, now that I'm writing about it I'm ready to go. Lets do another link when we get closer and talk about Restaurants, good places to watch Superbowl, etc.

flamingo, rio, ip, and harrahs were also fully comped for me tahoe. but decided, for $65 why not try PH. Heard decent things about it. I am still going to wait to see if I get an invite from venetian or any other hotels for the party etc since i usually do get superbowl invites. But if not, I think I will be staying at PH. Hope you have a great time!!!!

John;
Can you give me more detail on the South Point Superbowl party/watch;
1. Is it simple watching game at the race & sportsbook?
2. Is it in a theater, special room?
I love south Point. We(14 of us) rented a house near South Point last Superbowl and played there often. Their poker room isn't much, but the sports book was great.

They open up their ballrooms on the second floor, each one has about 60 round tables that seat 9-10 people. They usually open the doors at 1 PM or so, so you wanna have a couple people get in line maybe 11 AM or so, to snag tables with the best views. They show the game on one huge screen, maybe 12 foot by 10 foot, in each ballroom.
They sell tickets for food and drink, have a bar in each room and set up food stations in the hallway.

Love the Rio out of all the Harrah,s establishments. It is just a pain being off the strip if you don't have a car.

Under 60 days. Can't wait. Looking for a place to watch.
Johnz recommends South Point. Anyone else have a good spot? Not a high roller, so no invite parties. Someone said you can buy tickets to invite parties on Ebay?
