M Casino how often are pros there?

M is uncomfortable and expensive for the average weekend better....South Point if my favorite if I want to really relax and enjoy the game.

AND I understand that the Cantor people are no longer giving drink comp tickets to bettors so you can spend you OWN $6 or $7 bucks for a beer @ the M's 32 degree bar.  

for the average "non-high roller", South Point is a WAY better place to watch the games and their workers, from the writers to the drink girls, are MUCH nicer. 

I found the people working @ the M to be snotty and snobish 

Most runners are using Red Rock and the Big Books on the strip they are spreading  the betting around on the strip's big houses. Now

I can assure you NO one involved in betting NHL hockey is using Red Rock unless it's for "convienience". their odds always HAVE and always WILL SUCK. I think their management is SCARED of the sport.

Now the Hilton is gone and changes going on there now with the new group relating to the sports book at the Hilton!

Jay Kornegay is still running things @ Las Vegas superbook and he's still the most inovative and agressive of the sportsbook managers. guess we will see what happens. one thing I DON'T like at the former Hilton is they stopped putting up NHL overnight lines this season. STILL have 10 cent moneylines, though were every other book is 20 cents for NHL.

Regarding Floyd Maywether, As Vegas Gourmet said, HE IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING A PRO GAMBLER, Pro boxer, big mouth, wife beater grade A a$$hole Yes a pro gambler hell no, as a matter of fact Oscar De La Hoya had to bail his a$$ out of a tax jam, where did all his money go back then? regarding vegasgourmet being a troll, I dont see it at all, He has offered some great advice regarding everything vegas, If he does have faults they are that he somehow wants the sportsbooks to cease existing as we know them, Other than that his advixe is spot on, although he is wound tighter than a ducks a$$ in water.

One thing....I love sportsbooks....hope that Vegas continues to be the leader in sports betting in this country.....Believe that Cantor, William Hill, and....now....Ladbrokes will make sports betting more exciting and creative for the bettor.

 I just don't equate a drunken frat party with the way a sportsbook should be.....I still cringe when I watch guys yelling "Fuck You Kobe" at a TV....and, I personally guarantee, that the majority of these frat boys have NO bet on the game whatsoever....

We are in total agreement, I dont appreciate the way some behave in a sportsbook, there should be proper etiquette displayed when you have a wager on a game

1) dont be the a$$hole that cheers everytime your team gets a first down, Its very annoying to hear that sh*t.

2) Man up and shut your mouth when your team is getting its A$$ kicked, Swearing at the TV or the idiot players and coaches only makes you look stupid because they cant hear you.

3) Do not offer your all knowing advice to other bettors unless asked, I find it very agrivating to hear some know it all that doesnt know what they are talking about give people bad advice, Just shut your mouth and worry about your own bet.

4) dont get so drunk that you make a complete fool of yourself, Yes you are in Vegas but try and act somewhat like an adult.

5) dont talk my fucking ear off during the game, jus sit there like some of us civilized members of the human race and sweat it out.

6) If you lose just leave.

7) if you win cash out and leave.

8) If your at the Bellagio make sure you tip atleast 2 dollars per drink you cheap bastards.

9) If anywhere else that charges you for a drink, tip a dollar every 3rd drink.

Mafioso.........I know many of the servers at Bellagio, putting up with those from the street that come in for free drinks is real difficult. They do not ask to see betting tickets, they serve everyone....consequently, the Bellagio can look like The Fremont on a bad night real easy.

Your post was spot on..........one observation: a buck a beer is fine, 2 bucks for booze is more common.

What is your choice for the best sports book here in LV?

I would say STILL the Las Vegas superbook (former Hilton) IF you are just going to "book and leave" with the Cal-Neva operations at various smaller casinos around town aa a good alternate esp for NHL Hockey because they usually have high "big dog" and -1 1/2 fav odds AND for their "reverse teasers" (dogs laying points for big +$$$ odds) on the NFL regular season which I have not seen at other Las Vegas books.

Las Vegas sportsbook also is the only place I have seen that has "by periods" ingame betting on the NHL.
