I was surprised to get a drink ticket with each $10 bet I made at South Point. Unfortunately, it's South Point, so you have to drive there (I prefer to do my drinking on the Strip, where there is always an unlicensed Disney character to throw up on).
This is the funniest post on this thread.

I was just at The Bellagio on Monday night watching the first half of the Steelers vs Redskins. I noticed that nobody ordered drinks when the waitress came around the first time, which I thought was weird. And THAT was after 1/2 an hour. About 30 minutes later, she came by again and a couple of guys one row in front of me ordered drinks, and the girl asked them if they wanted to pay cash or if they had drink tickets. The dudes looked stunned and asked if they started charging. She said yes. Nobody else in the entire book ordered while I was there, about an hour and ten minutes.
moral: players drink free....fleas /railbirds/touts go dry.

2 words to describe people who go to sportsbooks just to watch their favorite team play and don't have action: friggin LOSERS!
I actually prefer homeless people betting 2 dollar parlays.
Drink tickets aren't hard to come by for anyone who is an adult and wagers respectable amounts and tips the writers. If you think you don't have to bet and tip 5x as much at the Bellagio for free drinks as you do off the strip at a locals casino or somewhere that isn't fancy you are too fvcking stupid and deluded to be gambling anyways.
Good for the Bellagio switching over to drink tickets I knew they used to keep em coming with no tickets they should also start checking betting slips to allow people to take up good seats. Some d1ckhead who just wants to watch his team can go to Buffalo Wild Wings.

Take it from a writer. (not gonna say where I work) Tip the writer! as long as the supervisor isn't standing behind us. I usually throw out 3 or 4 tickets and remember your faces. will be generous again when you bet the 2nd half or the late games...... not talking major money here. just a few bucks. its the gesture that is appreciated. As you all know, most sports bettors and especially horse bettors are total douchebags. most writers are jaded. that's why most don't smile or interact. even though it is there job to put up with it. I like the job. just do it part time during football season to supplement my betting.

no books give free drinks anymore bellagio stopped last year, well that i know of, if its that serious put a buck in a slot machine located less than a minute away from any book, order a drink, tip a buck it cost ya 2 bucks a drink, or walk to the many stores & buy a 6-12 pack or a bottle and bring it with you....
I never get the issue with drink tickets spending $100+ on a bet to get two "free" drinks just don't make sense is it really an issue to take a 5 minute walk im mean vegas is pretty much just one long walk
