havent stayed in the rooms, property itself is way too large for my liking,,casino and general area not layed out too well and quite hectic, if you like big crowds have at it

MGM has my favorite game on the floor that accepts quarters. It's an old school electric horse racing game.

I avoid the casino for the most part because of the parking lot, the layout of the casino floor, and I just find it to be hectic.

I have never stayed there myself, but have heard positive things about the rooms, and the buffet is pretty good. My only reasons to go there is the electric horse game I mentioned, events, and if I want to see the tigers.

MGM and all the hotels that are associated with them won't comp at the sports book. Only for horses, so another negative for me.

The largest casino on the strip and is very reasonably priced. Love eating at wolfgangs right on the casino floor.

The rooms are very comfy and when you check in ask for a room close to the elevators. I spend most my time at Wynn/Bellagio/Venetian so i stay on that part of the strip.

Your better off staying at the MGM Grand then the Golden Nugget.

I was there last yr for labour day.originally we had 2 rooms side by side but something screwed up and they put us at opposite corners. the walk from one side to the next felt like 10 minutes of walking (no joke). The newer part of the hotel was really nice (1 bedroom that looked very stylish). im guessing that was the new part.the 2nd room was a bit more run down but we didnt care much as we didnt&#x27; stay inside much. they did offer us 2 free dinners because of the room change which was pretty good.the pool is pretty good but it doesn&#x27;t have nearly the amount of girls that the other pools have. that horse racing game is addictive! i put a buck down on 2 horses at 195:1 back to back and they both won...lolgood times there. I would recommend it

Just got back from 3 nights at the MGM about a week ago.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Everything about this hotel is good, not great. Sportsbook, rooms, location, casino floor, dining, everything is "Good". I happened to book it for $120/night over Columbis wknd, so I&#x27;d say the value was Great, but that wont always be the case of course!&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;One cool thing about it is that it&#x27;s so big that you can do and see so much right there in the hotel. We found ourselves staying inside the hotel/casino for the majority of the trip.

Clarification. First of all MGM is not "terrible on comps". I suppose if all u do is sports bet then it would be bad because they dont comp sports book. But outside of that I STAY AT MGM THE MOST (I love Signature & Craftsteak is my favorite steak joint in all of Vegas. Emirils is ok & I like its proximity to Fatburger out the back door). But, I particularly like MGM because it is 9/10 time HEADQUARTERS for ALL MAJOR EVENTS in VEGAS. Whether it be (championship boxing, concert, UFC etc). I like to stay wherever the event I'm going to is being held so I mostly end up at MGM or Mandalay Bay. P.S. I like the lions. PPS I hate the outdate tan limos though.

Let me also add that the Hilton comps are good for 18 months. The Palms will possibly vanish if you go MIA.

I prefer the Hilton buffet to the Palms buffet. I also like the Deli at the Hilton's sportsbook and they have more shows to offer. As far as shows goes with the Palms you can only pick from the ones they offer at their venue. The Hilton offers free drinks with no tickets and at the Palms you must ask for a drink ticket(s) after your wager. At the Palms you can just go to the buffet and they'll swipe your card (Box office, etc). The comps at the Hilton are seperated from the book and the tables. So, if you want to find out how much comp $ you have you must ask at the book, and also redeem them at the book.

You're still going to need to bet some serious money for these comps to add up.

At the Harrah's casinos I roughly 5k and managed to only accomulate $30. So, that's why I focused on the Palms and Hilton because it really added up. Also the Harrah's casinos would limit me on my wager amount.

just got back from mgm first time, wanted to stay there cause the fight was there. it was ok, nothing really bad about it, like the mandalay bay better though, mainly because their sportsbook is kickass.

MGM is MY FAVORITE &amp; Where I stay the MOST, because ALOMST EVERY MAIN EVENT (championship boxing, ufc, concerts, shows etc) are there &amp; I like to stay at HEADQUARTERS, that is I like to stay wherever the event is I&#x27;m going to. MGM is the largest so they do have reasonable rates, but they also have had the BEST of the BEST n Vegas for A LONG TIME which is THE MANSION, the Skylofts are good &amp; Signature has great plus big rooms. Also they have a 24hr burger, pizza &amp; wing joint but also The only AAA 5 STAR restarurant in Vegas (I think, I&#x27;m about 90%) Joel Robuchon. So as regular or Whale as you want, MGM is your place...

I did not like Wolfgang Pucks either time I went there (but it's always a bunch of hot bitches in there & u can see alot from the restaurant)

bigkat,I would talk highly about MGM, but my issues with them is that they don&#x27;t offer comps to at the book. That tends to stop me from going there as much because I&#x27;m unable to receive the free perks.  I have only had the buffet there and it was pretty good. I wish I could praise them as much as you do.

Vegas Sound,&#xD;&#xA;I agree that they should offer comps at the sportsbook. For sum reason when Im n Vegas I&#x27;m primarily at the tables. If I bet sports while I&#x27;m there, I still just click buttons on my computer &amp; still bet overseas. Normally, I only bet sports n Vegas if I&#x27;m out there for that reason. (Like when I lost my 5k on Winky versus B. Hopkins)
