Staying at the Wynn. Seen some funny and interesting blogs as people have paroosed (sp?) Vegas recently. Thought it would be fun to have a little Vegas in Game for those who were interested in living vicariously through me.
I wont be leaving NY until 9pm at night, so my first post wont come until Thursday morning,...if you guys have any specific questions about any books offering certain things, or just the questions in general people ask about Vegas, ill be there, so I will see what i can check out for those who wish to know something!
Let the in-game begin!

Twice last year we got $199 weekday and $269 weekend rates by playing a min. 6 hrs/day, mostly 8/16. The room seems a bit loser than Bellagio or Mirage - less wannabe pros. Stayed with another guy so they let us play 3 hrs each to qualify for the rate. Spoke to the Poker Room Mgr, I think her name is Debbie.
Last trip we stayed at the Venetian. Big rooms but service, quality, poker, everything pales in comparison to the Wynn.
BOL on your trip.

Well here I am...finally got the internet running.
Quick recap of the trip so far. (Right now waiting for people to shower to go to dinner)
Got in around 12:30 to the Wynn. Long flight from ny but it was 30 mins ahead of schedule. Bunch of us werent sure what to do, whether to drink and gamble or just putz around. We decided to show the couple chicks we brought with us around a little, such as the Palazzo, our hotel and Ti since its close. Buddy of mine played 2/5 last night lost a 3k pot. He was 60-40 on the flop but couldnt hit (nut flush and 2 overs). Then lost 500 quick on BJ. I decided to hit the hay, long day and wanted to hit the pool.
All 5 of us went down to the pool got some good sun. Decided it was time to go to the BJ table at the pool here. By the way, its a very nice pool and cabana area. Seems very country club like. I buy in for $200 and hope to bullshit for a while, have some fun and play 15-30 a hand. I couldnt have been hotter. Regret not playing more than 35 a hand at times. After 1:45 mins I finished up $335 which was really good as I didnt touch more than 35 a bet and my avg bet was probably 25 over the course of the time. Buddy of mine, same kid who lost $2000 early in the AM bounced back and put $250 on the table, got it up to $2050. So he did well for himself. He was kinda a prick to the dealers in a way but they were assholes. They acted like we HAD to tip them some extraordinary amt. I tipped like $10 bucks over the course of the time, and my buddy did like $30. Sorta bitchy.
Tried to find out what my points were for playing. long story short I found out they avg'd me at $100 a hand for that 1:47 time period I played. Should at least have a buffet with that. Really nice here.
probably heading to Tao late tonight after potential beer pong at O'Sheas.
Dinner at the Buffet here tonight for sure!
Hope the hoes are live tonight!!!! Vodka and tonics till failure....
Back later

still not sure why I got $100 AVG BET...but no complaints here!
good for you You need to average at least 4 hours a day at the tables to get the real comps. As it stands, you should be good for a meal or two. Lay the pipe and kick their ass!

Advice and do what you like but if you bet for the dealers it goes a long long way towards your comps! Trust me I know! If I was working your table you would have been bumped to 150 per hand with a good amount of dealer tokes! Also talk with the supervisor while you are tipping. It is the first thing they ask the dealers! was he tipping? nope! or hell ya ! Most big places want big tippers to come back to their joint so they bump the tippers up to get them comps so they return! If you tip big before you leave ask the supervisor what he rated you at and then ask to be bumped a bit higher. That should work.
Have a great time on your stay and win some wynn money. he certainly can spare a few bucks for ya!

Thanks guys..I was gettting pretty chummy with the pit bosses etc. usually do, just my nature.
Quick recap of last night.
Went to buffet at Wynn (good times) with the gang. Nice meal. Went 2-0-1 in my baseball plays but downhill from there. Put about 225 back from my 335 winnings at BJ. Lost 8 hands in a row, fucking sucked. We all decide to go to Tryst, long story short if I possibly could, the people didnt let us back in even after stamps, big problem etc and we spoke to the higher ups that be and they said to speak to some manager who comes in tonight. Shit was bad. Its really too long to t;ype, but we have a case, bouncers were dicks...
So after that Im bombed as the vodka and tonics keep coming so I go o\play 1-3 NL. Sat at a table with some good players. Lost an all in with a staight to a boat. I shouldnt have pushed the rest of my chips (175ish) into the pot, but I did. Bought back in and lost another 75 over the course of the time. Some dick got mad at someone at our table, he had to be escorted out, as he was a big dick. Almost fight happened there. Come back upstairs to go to bed and we got morons doing coke in my room...lets just say i didnt sleep much, but glad I dont touch that shit.
Off to the pool, mayabe some BJ down there...right now I am safe to say Im down around 300...lets hope lady luck comes right back around.
on the agenda:
Pool
lunch?
BJ
no more poker haha
some club who knows
aight fellas time to get moving...

f*ck dealer tokes ( in poker okay) but the other games they are trying to bust you,
also i dont see the obsession with getting comps...get a players card, if you play machines use it, if they take it in the poker room use it but dont play above your means or comfort zone just to get comps that you will end up paying for anyway if you lose $ by playing bigger then you should be playing.

Wait. Why exactly do people insist on dining at buffets when they come to Las Vegas anyway? Do you go to Ponderosa® back home or something? I just really don't get that. Most unhygienic place to dine, period.
