Got in around 9 am Friday and left Monday at 4. It was my cousins 21st bday so 4 of us took the trip out. Stayed at Bally's which is great because it is right in the middle of the strip. I don't have that much money so i had 650 to gamble with. Friday i played 3 card poker and lost 100 along with 150 in sports bets. Saturday i decided to play a little blackjack even though i think it is the worst game ever. Of course i lost 100. Beating myself up playing that stupid game I finally played poker at Ballys, which is usually all i play. Game was pretty weak but was not catching any cards at all so i ended up getting up before losing anything. Placed some more bets and lost another 100 from that. So 2 days down and down 450.
Sunday things started to pick up for me. Went to O'Sheas, which was awesome by the way, and played in a $45 tournament. There were 49 people. The quality of players was comical. Easily won that and picked up $410. With my confidence riding high i was ready to keep playing so i went over Caesars to play 1-3. Bought in for 200 and ran it up to 600 pretty easily as the quality of players there was also very weak. By that time i meet up with the group at Bellagio to watch the Lakers game. Place was packed and the atmosphere was great. No action on the game for me but my brother has a Laker future so I was a Laker fan that night. After the game I put 100 on black in roulette and lost. Then i headed to Bills for my first attempt at Craps. I was pretty nervous because i wasn't to familiar with the game but once i got in there it is really easy. I played the Pass and Come with odds on the Pass the whole time and ended up winning 75 which was nice.
Went to bed early because i was planning on golfing in the morning. The golf didn't work out so i headed back to Bally's before the flight for more poker. 1-2 NL and the game was pretty good expect for i got suckered out on more times than i can remember. There was a girl there who i have played with before that caught every card she needed. When she left the table everybody rejoiced because it was getting ridiculous. Tried 3 card one more time before leaving and lost 100 in 3 hands. So after everything i ended up about even give or take.
Thoughts on this, my second trip:
-Paid 330 for air and hotel. -I was expecting it to not be that crowded with the economy and all but there was a good amount of people there. -The new city center area looks awesome. I can't wait to see what it looks like when it done. -The bellegio sports book was down for about 3 hours Sunday. It only started working about an hour before tip. How bad is that -Weather was perfect

In a Vegas sportsbook watching an NBA playoff game and NO action?

Was also there last week and was in the Bellagio for the same game you were. Got there about an hour pre tipoff and got a nice seat. Was studying lines when the announcement came that the sportsbook was now up. Had no idea it was down and would've been extremely pissed not to be able to wager on the game.
Weather was awesome all week. 80's nearly every day.
Crowds weren't bad. My 11th trip. Wasn't as packed as some trips a few years ago but certainly not a ghost town. Even during the week.
Called the local stripper/hooker that I know. 4th time for that. Something I never thought I would do because most are strung out trash but this one is as normal as you can get and at least a 9/10.
Did pretty well on baseball. Avg on basketball. Decent on dogs/horses.
Drank a shitload for the week.
Can't wait to get back for football season.

yuice I know what u mean about not having action on a game. When ive been in vegas for 5 or so days...and say an NBA game is on or whatever...I dont have a problem rooting on a friend...especially if Im up on the trip. You get into it despite not having anything on it.
