Under 21 in a Vegas Sportsbook?

Is it ok to have a guest who is under the age of 21 in the sportsbook, if he only is sittin at our table? not trying to place bets, or even stand or go by the betting windows?
 
Will we get any greif for this? Or will it not even matter?
 
ANyone with any experiences with this?

they wont allow him. thats vegas for you. your best bet is to find some kind of lounge outside the sportsbook. The Wynn has a very nice one that most likely allows kids, adjacent to the sportsbook.

ok, let me rephrase..if the under age kid is 20,,looks the part of 23-25....and just sits there at a table watching games with me....I know its not legal, but will they say anything to him? or us?

thats a little different. it depends on where you are. the wynn is very chilled out. they probably wont even ask to see his id. I can't speak for other places. If he looks older you might get away with it. Vegas is really funny about shit like this. I doubt they card him. I'd say you have a 50/50 chance of sitting through an entire game anywhere without getting bugged. I'd try the wynn though they seem to put the client's comfort and such above the rules. I've seen people have 5 minute conversations on the cell phone sitted at the wynn sportsbook. other places they are on top of you 15-25 seconds into your call.

Yea I was at Las Vegas last week man. I just turned 21 but I go there often anyways. I only got carded twice since I was there. I got carded at Palazzo, which I didnt really like anyways. I also got carded at Caesars just standing next to a slot machine lol. It depends on what casino ur at. ShamOn hit it right on the head. Some casinos are more laid back then others. Wynn and Paris are very laid back. I honestly never see any security walking the grounds checking at those two. I did get told not to use my cell at the flamingo sportsbook which I had no idea. The guy just told me no cells and that was it. I'd definitely try Paris and Wynn...

Go with the flow, if your under age guess is running around with a teddy bear of course they will kick you out.

You should be ok.  The only problem that I can see is if the rest of the table orders beers and he orders a coke - then he's probably going to get carded and kicked out.  If he's going to drink, I'd get him a beer out on the casino floor somewhere before you settle in to your table at the sportsbook, that way the waitress will see him with a beer already and probably won't bother him.

they will not let you sit there. if the gaming commission ever stopped by and saw the place had a minor in there they would fine the shit out of them. im telling you he will get bothered and kicked out

the wynn has a nice lounge that is adjacent to the sportsbook. i'm pretty sure you can sit in there and still watch the games, they have lots of nice tvs. its a sofa lounge/bar so its not for gambling at the video poker machines only.
