I read that the screen saver on the monitors in Cantor sportsbooks now say that you cannot have communication devices (phones/computers) in the book.

I've confirmed that's what it says on the computer but, also others have told me that they are not enforcing it and you can sit in the book with your laptop open and running...just as I have done in the past.

Do you know if they have made any policy change?

What time do the books close on a Friday during football season. Flying in at 10:30pm and was wondering if the book would be open until midnight so I can place bets as soon as I arrive. Trying to avoid the long lines the following morning with the NCAA early games.

Marko, I don&#x27;t live in Vegas, but I visit often during football season.  At least during football weekends, you&#x27;ll find some sportsbooks that are open 24 hrs.  I&#x27;m pretty sure The Orleans is one...southpoint another.

Sportsbook hours- Yeah it varies depending on which sportsbook you're near or going to. Some will close shortly after the conclusion of any Friday night football game. Some just close at 11 or 12. There are some open all night, or that only close for an hour or two.

Flight/Hotels from Cincy - First I'd recommend a players club card for either the Caesars (which harrahs is a part of ) properties or the MLife properties. That will get you discounts on rooms to a certain extent. Otherwise, use sites like smartervegas.com, travelzoo.com, or vegas.com for some hotel promo codes and deals.

For flights, that's something you've gotta track yourself. Southwest is often cheaper and flies from Dayton to LV. Otherwise, use sites like bing.com/travel to check flights and see their recommendations on waiting/buying.

Thanks for response guys! I will be staying at The Mirage and it says on Vegas.com that hours are 8am-11pm but extended during football season.

My other question is if they open at 8:00am bettors only have an hour to get bets in before the 12 kickoffs. Would really like to avoid that...hoping Mirage stays open until later than 11pm

Downtown or off-strip is your best bet to find $5 minimum tables for both games on a weekend.  On-strip, you can find some $5 minimum tables more readily available in the mornings, but by mid-afternoon on a weekend, $10-$15 is more common and $5 minimums are tough to find.  Some places like Luxor, Monte Carlo, and Casino Royale do have some $5 games available all day, but they&#x27;re usually packed.

You can get GB at 10/1 at the Station Casinos. If you shop around you might be able to get better. I&#x27;ll check Cantor and report back if different.

Are there are any books in downtown that allow (a) buying the hook and (b) 2 team 6 point teasers?

I stayed at Golden Nugget last year and they didn't allow either bet. Teasers had to be 3 team and they didn't allow me to buy a hook which I found very odd.

It does work, but it&#x27;s far from guaranteed.  Too many factors go into it, like:  what day are you checking in, time of day, who is working the desk, manager on duty, occupancy level of the hotel, how long you&#x27;re staying, etc.  Much better shot at working on a slow Sun-Thurs trip than a busy Thurs-Sun
