a few prelim thoughts. This has the makings of a great card. And some tough fights to call
Diaz/Silva - I think this will be a 5 round decision for Silva. I usually hate the trash talk but this should have some entertaining moments of trash talk
Gastelum/Woodley - Its amazing how Gastelum has really come out of nowhere really quickly to being a top 3-5. If this stays a striking contest I like Woodley. If Gastelum gets the grappling edge it could be a boring one
JLau/Iaquinta - Al is on a good tear - seems to be improving, but JLau at +150 is pretty intriguing
Boetsch/Leites - I will take a run a Boetsch. Leites can only win if he can tie up Boetsch. I think Boetsch can defend that and can hurt him on the feet
Alves/Mein - two great strikers, but I can't see this being an Alves of old. Men is a great young talent
McMann/Tate - I like McMann to wrestle to a decision
Brunson/Herman - I was on Brunson for the first booking, but should he be that favoured?
Linekar/McCall - I think Linekar has decent chance. I question McCall's mental game
Natal/Watson - I think Natal should win the easily. UD probably
Brandao/Hettes - I imagine Hettes will still struggle with the striking and get KOd

Kind of a silly bet. I'm not digging Brunson at -600 but he should be able to control Herman with his wrestling. This is Silva's fight to lose, unless he's somehow hampered by injury. Sorry to mix in NHL here, but I couldn't find a 3rd parlay partner on this UFC card

Gastelum has won before when missing weight - I actually thought he looked the best he has for a while at weigh ins because he generally looks Turruble! But it has to take a toll

I've written this before but it's so unprofessional and unfair when I fighter misses weight. A 20% purse loss in nothing. It should be at least half or they should have a pt deduction right off the bat. The fighter on weight is forced to fight an opponent in a weight class higher.

Oddly, Bodog line is going the opposite of other books. Still cautious on this one, but adding a little more. 10 pounds out, what is the deal with that? Not even close...

He was hospitalized before the weigh-ins and had fluids pumped into his body. Watch the weigh-ins again, he looked horrible. Slowly went up the steps.
