Jon Jones allegedly fled the scene of a hit-and-run before turning back to grab “a large handful of cash,” according to a police report issued by the Albuquerque (N.M.) police department, which now seeks the UFC light-heavyweight champion for questioning.
An officer on the scene searched a silver Buick SUV that allegedly ran a red light and caused the accident early Sunday morning, and stated he found documents identifying Jones, 27. The officer also found a marijuana pipe and marijuana inside the vehicle, which had been rented from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, according to the report, obtained by MMAjunkie (check out the police report).
The driver involved in the accident, a 25-year-old pregnant woman, and a person whose car she hit told police that a black male wearing a white button-up shirt and dark pants “ran onto a hill” nearby before he “slouched over” and ran back to the car. The male allegedly “shoved the cash into his pants and ran north,” according to the report.
An off-duty police officer, also named in the report, said he witnessed Jones flee the Buick and run up a dirt hill. He did not see Jones run back to the vehicle.
The police officer who identified Jones from the rental-card documents in the SUV said he attempted to contact Jones but was unsuccessful.

Belfort's results are still within the allowed amount by the Nevada Athletic Commission. But he did get higher numbers than his opponent, Chris Weidman.
According to his test from March 16, Belfort showed 12 ng/mL of testosterone, and a 1:7 testosterone-epitestosterone ratio. Weidman was tested on March 30 and came back with 3.7 ng/mL and 0.13 on the T-E test.
Weidman was tested again on April 27 and had the exact same result for his testosterone test, while his T-E exam showed 0,092. Belfort was tested the day after and showed 5 ng/ml on the testosterone test and 1.5 on the T-E exam. The maximum amount of testosterone allowed by the NAC is 6:1.
Angry at the results, Weidman raised suspicion on how an opponent eight years older than him could get higher results.
"Seriously? So I'm 30 and he's what, 38? Screw the T-E levels, how does he go from 12 ng/ml to 5 ng/ml? That's crazy.
