Hey guys,
It's a new year and I'm offering this on my own free will and my own $. It's completely voluntary to play and I'm just doing this for some friendly competition and some competitive banter throughout the year. All I can say is I promise I'll pay the winner via PP or any other method that's easy at the end of the 2015.
The Rules:
- 45 UFC events throughout the year, only the main card fights will be considered (almost always top 5 for PPV and usually top 6 for Fox/FS1/Fightpass events); probably around 250-300 main card fights
- At the beginning of the week (except this first card), I will list the fights that will be eligible. This week's fights will be directly after this post.
- If you pick on a fight card, you must pick EVERY fight of that fight card (can't just pick the huge faves)
- You must pick at least 100 eligible picks in order to be eligible to win. (this means you can skip events, forget events, or if you're late to the party, you're welcome to join late in the year)
- All picks should be in this thread and should clearly state who you're choosing ("Cowboy" or "Cerrone" works, for instance)
- The picks must be in this thread before the start of the first fight listed (and please call out anyone who doesn't follow this rule). Also, it will be important to know the start times of the event. If an event starts at 6am EST in Australia, for instance, we cannot accept late picks. I will try to assist in this by listing any unusual times/dates.
- I will usually pick pretty quickly, but if I'm close to winning at the end of the year, I may wait to close to fight time for obvious reasons. If there is an extremely close race at the end, we may pick a proxy poster to PM picks to, but we'll figure that out in November if necessary.
- I will do my best to grade the picks and update the standings soon after the event.
- The winner will be the poster with the highest percentage of picked fights. If you're 100-50 (67%), you can lose to the guy who is 70-30 (70%). The winner will receive $50 american dollars.
- Please only do this if you're willing to follow along at least casually throughout the year.
