You're brave, but it's not a crazy bet really. I'm a huge JDS fan and I think Roy stands a 30-40% chance of beating him if he can get it to the ground. We haven't seen JDS on his back much b/c he is so damn good with his TDD and his hands instill fear in his opponents so they respect him. I'm staying away from this fight because I also believe Roy is being undervalued. With that said, I still think JDS wins this via TKO within 2 and I think Lesnar would take Roy out in the 1st via GnP stoppage. Good luck sir... but I'm really expecting Junior to fight Lesnar for the title in 2011.

I am also a pretty big fan of JDS as well. I have bet him every single fight since he came into the UFC as a huge dog. I just have a gut feeling about this one. I think the line should be closer. Perhaps JDS -150 and Nelson +120

JDS needs to be in a smaller mans division if he wants a belt. I think he is gonna be in trouble with Roys wrestling, and with that line it is definitely worth a shot. Nelson is no slouch even though he looks like it, he is experienced and good in almost every area. I really dont think JDS could beat Carwin, Lesnar, or Cain just because of size and wrestling ability. The quality of his opponents have been decent but just no one that can dominate his small body in the wrestling game. Once he hits the big boys he is gonna have trouble. I am a big fan of JDS too just trying lookin at it objectively. At least Cain was a D-I wrestler and has a chance to neutralize Brocks game (And a bit bigger).

I definitely think Nelson has some value with that comeback (my book has +280 right now). He's never an easy guy to bet on because of his physique, seriously. How many times do you see him standing next to his opponent and think, "Oh yeah, Nelson is gonna beat him down." But he's experienced and all he does is win fights.

Gotta go with my man JDS. He's been this far and I can't see Big Cheeseburger KOing JDS. If they stand and bang which they will, 1st Round KO for the future Heavyweight champ

Nice hit Crow. I'd use the money to have some new pictures taken. Had over 13 minutes on Howard/Ellenburger which was disappointing. Good luck on Nelson. Not sure if I would hedge.
PM me and we'll kick it around.

I probably won't hedge unless I see something really good to parlay Junior with or see what his odds to win by KO or inside the distance are.

I dont know how anyone can bet against dos Santos here.Hes been facing really tough guys and has been fucking destroying them.Roy on the other hand needed the reality tv gimick to even get in the UFC, and before that he got KO'd by Arlovski and lost to Jeff Monson.Id be shocked if Roys fat ass can even make it past the 1st round.

Roy Nelson could win this fight easily on the ground and he can trade with JDS. JDS seems to get the opposition on their heels quickly but Roy has a chin and comes forward. This is MUCH closer then people think. Nelson's weight and distribution of weight in the ground game is a huge advantage. He will win if this gets down and dirty. I have no doubt about that. JDS has a slight advantage on his feet and needs to stay upright to win.
Lesnar over both BTW. JDS to small for Brock and Roy has fast enough to counter Brock's take downs.

JDS's greatest strength is his hands and standup. He might have the best boxing in the entire HW division. Look what happened when Nelson fought Arlovski, who has less power than JDS. He got destroyed. Lets not forget that Nelson also has a decision loss to Ben Rothwell who isn't good enough to carry JDS' jockstrap.
Bottom line is I could see Nelson grinding out a W if he can smother JDS on the ground. But getting him on the ground won't be easy (noone has yet in his UFC career, granted he hasn't faced any wrestlers) and supposedly JDS is very slick of his back and has very good Jits. Also Nelson is VASTLY over-hyped as a wrestler, what b/c he put Kimbo Slice in a crucifix he's a great grappler? Not even close.
JDS should get a TKO or KO finish by the 2nd round. I'm gonna lay the juice and I'll have a lot on it. I don't think Nelson is a good play at all, but best of luck to you.

Good Luck to you....
However JDS should destroy Roy.
