Solid card this weekend.
Looking for a bounce back after last weekend.
GL ALL
Bautista vs Perrin
Opening fight & its a short notice match for Perrin. He is making his official UFC debut after losing on the contender series a couple years ago. He is a solid fighter with a well rounded skill set. His striking is OK, but its mainly there too set up take downs & push his opponent back too grapple on the cage. He uses this style too slow down his opponent and grind out victories. If he gets the fight too the ground, he looks for ground & pound over submissions and is looking too grind his opponent down. Bautista is a volume striker who is always willing too take shots too return some of his own. This has gotten himself in trouble in the past. He is an aggressive striker with solid movement and good forward pressure. The few books I use aren't offering odds on this fight yet so I will see later in the week. But I lean Perrin & the over rounds depending on the odds.

Pearce vs Rodriguez
Another short notice fighter. Rodriguez is making his UFC debut & on short notice. In his career he has bounced from 135 pounds to 145 pounds. This fight is at 145, so I anticipate he will be the smaller fighter in this match up. He is a solid striker with good speed and movement. He has shown solid take down defense in the past, but this is a big step up in competition, and could be a real issue in this fight against Pearce. In comes Pearce who is 2-1 since joining the UFC. He has shown a solid set of skills. He has solid striking & fights with good forward pressure & pace. His movement and pace sets up his take downs nicely. In his last fight he took down Morales 6 times and I anticipate he uses that again in this fight. I like Pearce too dominate this fight against the very raw Rodriguez. I'm not sure how I want to bet Pearce yet, but I will have money on him for sure.

Anheliger vs Strader
This should be a fun fight. Both guys are strikers & both guys fight with an aggressive style. Anheliger is making his UFC debut, but has a lot of experience in his career. He is on a 9 fight win streak and hasn't lost since 2014. He is a good striker with legit power. He does have a solid ground game with good BJJ, but his strength is his striking & his power. Strader lost his UFC debut VIA TKO last year. He like Anheliger is a striker, and a solid one at that. He doesn't have the power of Anheliger, but he does have nice body shots & combinations. He is always marching forward and looking too get in the face of his opponent. I anticipate a brawl in this fight, and depending on the odds, I like this fight too end inside the distance. I will wait & see what the odds look like later in the week.

Belbita vs De Paula
First ladies fight of the weekend, and it should be a good one. Two prospects who have struggled since joining the UFC. Both need a victory. Belbita is 1-2 since joining will look too stack 2 wins in a row. She is a volume striker who loves too march forward. She has solid clinch work and a solid ground game if she get's the fight too the ground. She seems too never slow down which is a good asset for her. Her one flaw is her technique, which sometimes causes her positions & points. De Paula is 0-2 since joining the UFC needs a victory. She is a striker. She likes too use her movement too stick & move and use her accuracy too touch up her opponent. She does have solid clinch work and can really control her opponent for periods of the fight. Her flaw is lack of experience. I will take De Paula at + money as the more accurate striker in what should be a good fight.

Skelly vs Striegl
The return of Chas Skelly. He hasn't fought in 2 years. About a year ago he made the walk too the octagon, but his opponent didn't show. He has announced this is his last fight also. He is a fun fighter too watch. He is a solid striker who is willing too slug it out. He also has solid take downs and will always attack submissions if the opportunity presents itself. In comes Striegl who last his UFC debut back in 2020 via TKO. He is a wrestler, and a chain wrestler at that. He has solid forward pressure with OK striking, but his preference almost always is too wrestle. At +120 I like this fight to go the distance.

Clark vs Egger
Solid fight here. Clark coming off that impressive win back in October. In her last fight she showed her ability too grapple & wrestler and it worked well for her. She is a solid striker with good power, so she does have a well rounded skill set. I think if she mixes in her wrestling & striking she should have a good outcome. Egger is 1-1 since joining the UFC. She is a solid striker who has good power. She does like too mix in grappling of her own and tie her opponent up and do some cage work. I think the odds here are a little lopsided and I actually think Egger is the better striker of the two. I am worried about Clark's ability too take down and control Egger so I will most likely pass on this fight. I do think Egger has some value at +175.

Onama vs Benitez
This should be another fun fight. Benitez is coming off a TKO loss & will look too get back on track. He is a solid kick boxer with lethal kicks. He does have good movement and uses it well with his striking. I think he will need some grappling in this match in order too slow down the powerful & explosive Onama. In comes Onama who lost his debut. He is a solid prospect with a nice set of skills. He fights with a good pace and is always marching forward. He has shown some solid clinch work in his fights & has a good jab with solid power. I think the path too victory for both men is too slow the fight down and grapple. Will these guys do that? Or will they slug it out? I think who ever comes in with the better game plan wins this one. I don't see a bet I like on this fight just yet.
