Because that&#x27;s what his name is. &#x27;J&#x27;s are pronounced in Portuguese unlike in Spanish, and &#x27;S&#x27; takes a slightly different pronunciation, too.It was really annoying the fuck out of me when he, and nearly everyone else in the MMA media, was calling him HO-ZEY

J&#x27;s are not quite pronounced as dramitically in Portuguese as Joe Rogan is making it out to be. It is like he is proving a point that he is correcting everyone that has been pronouncing it wrong every single time he says his name.&#xD;&#xA;I knew that it was not pronounce "Ho-Zey" as Aldo was from Brazil, but it should be more like Jo-Zay or Zho-Zay with the J sounding like the S in measurement.&#xD;&#xA;I always thought the Brazillians pronounced the J as they do in Ju-Jitsu as Zhu-Zhitsu

I remember watching a video with one of Jose Aldo&#x27;s managers clearing up how his name was properly pronounced and he made it sound more like ZHU-SAY which is no where near how Joe Rogan is saying it. Rogan is throwing a hard J on it for some reason.

It is Jose.  His translator clearly does not have the pronunciation that people who speak English all the time do.  It is a hard J.
