BOSTON -- The Boston Red Sox, who struggled to find five dependable starting pitchers last season, are considering a six-man rotation in 2025.

*Well if they can't find 5 dependable starters, how in the world is 6 going to change that??

CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox acquired left-hander Tyler Gilbert in a trade with the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday.

Chicago sent minor league right-hander Aaron Combs to Philadelphia for the 31-year-old Gilbert, who had a 3.24 ERA in six relief appearances with the Phillies last season.

  Another Japanese sensation set to come over!

The initial list of major league teams that expressed interest in uber-talented young starting pitcher, Japanese right-hander Roki Sasaki (23) stretched to 20, his agent, Joel Wolfe of Wasserman Group, said.

He's expected to accept a MLB contract by later this month.

At just 23, Sasaki is already one of the world's best pitchers,

possessing a triple-digit fastball  and  a devastating splitter! 

  The Los Angeles Dodgers are in agreement with *star* Korean infielder Hyeseong Kim on a three-year, $12.5 million contract, sources confirmed to ESPN on Friday.

Kim, has played 8 years with the Kiwoom Heroes but is only 25.
He's known an an elite defender at multiple positions as he played 2nd base, shortstop, 3rd base and in the outfield for the Heroes.

Kim is a career .304 hitter with a whopping 211 stolen bases. His speed alone can affect games, especially with the newer MLB rules that put an emphasis on base stealing.

New York, which won its only titles in 1969 and 1986, has become baseball's biggest spender since Steve Cohen bought the team from the Wilpon and Katz families ahead of the 2021 season.

The New York Yankees, New York Mets, Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants and Texas Rangers were told they are out on Sasaki, sources said, leaving the two favorites from the beginning -- Los Angeles and San Diego -- along with a surprise entrant in Toronto.

Bob Uecker, the legendary voice of the Milwaukee Brewers
who was nicknamed “Mr. Baseball,” has died aged 90,
the team announced on Thursday.

The Brewers said he died Thursday morning at his home.

According to his family, Uecker had been battling lung cancer since 2023.
