I honestly believe we are seeing one of the greatest players in history currently in his prime. No player since Babe Ruth has been as dominant from the hill and at the plate. Be careful, in this politically correct day and age, you don’t get swept up in bigoted feelings like “He ain’t American and he ain’t black”. I am no bigot, and that includes swearing fidelity to “the black athlete”. Just another form of bigotry. Reverse bigotry is no different from the kind we face traditionally.

Aside from the above, and game related, let me state I have respect for Miles Mikolas, but he is NOT in Ohtani’s class. He is 3-3 w/l and 2-4 q.s. in the starter vs. starter category and his last start, although noteworthy, was his best yet in this season, but; the Giants are not the same hitting club as the Angels either. Ohtani has 3 of 6 better than that and is 6-0 and 4-2.
So, the Cardinals come stumbling in with their 5-19 record vs. right-handed starters and home field is supposed to make them a favorite? Gimme a break!
