PITCHING MATCHUP: Rangers LH Matt Harrison (2012: 18-11, 3.29 ERA) vs. Astros RH Bud Norris (2012: 7-13, 4.65)
Harrison inherits the No. 1 spot from Colby Lewis, who got the opening day nod last season but will begin 2013 on the disabled list after undergoing arm surgery. Texas was reportedly in the mix for the top arm on the free agent market, Zack Greinke, but fell short on that bid and will instead hand things off to the All-Star Harrison, who is coming off his best season. The left-hander is 0-1 in four career games - two starts - against Houston but has never allowed a hit to any of the current Astros players he has faced, most notably Carlos Pena (0-for-8) and Chris Carter (0-for-7).
Norris takes over the role of No. 1 starter for Houston after the team aggressively traded away veterans last summer. The 28-year-old right-hander has averaged just under one strikeout per inning in his career but has never beaten an AL opponent, going 0-1 with a 6.19 ERA in three career interleague starts. Norris has never faced the Rangers but has been a stronger pitcher in his career at Minute Maid Park with a 3.51 ERA in 48 starts.

Well nothing went as expected even after researching the last 3 years on those 2 starters last night
Except that the under in the first 5 was right barely thanks to the hook
Otherwise it was a disaster as Harrison and bull pen were pathetic allowing 8 runs,Are the Astro's that good now that there in the ALand with a brand new group of players,I guess we will need to wait and see,but cudo's to them for a great Start as they deserved it with their bats and abilities
So what is in store for today with a multitude of games and wagers available. I posted earlier in thread all the match ups and who looked good in Past first starts but that did not help much last night
i will re list what records say for today and then you take it from there
We may need a few starts with these starters b4 we know who is the real deal for 2013

If past has anything to do with today this is what i though should happen today or maybe reverse is the better approach as in last night
Niese appears as the play in 5 and over in 9
Samardiza (spell chk) although only one game(your on your own)
Gallardo appeared as the play maybe under too
Cain/ Kershaw the under looked good in 5&9 if 2012 is reviewed
Hudson looked good as the play ,watch Hamels come out strong ?
Wainwright also looked as the play in 5 and the under
Nyy game looks like an Over in 5 and 9
Sale looks very good in 5 and 9 ( I may Pound This )
Note: ST of 2012 Toronto went 18-0 at one point and came April it all changed,Can this happen to Royals after that great ST of 2013 (21-3) We will see!!!!!!
Seattle gm looks like a good under ( in 5 is better)
Weaver and Cueto def looks like a GREAT UNDER
Weaver 2012 first Start SHUTOUT
Cueto 2012 first Start SHUTOUT
Watch all these games go in reverseI do have those moments as we all do
I promise it will get better

gonna put a small 10/20 parlay together until i can see who is for real
Niese in 5
Gallardo in 5
Hudson in 5
Wainwright in 5
Sale in 5
Weaver/Cueto under in 5
now that i did Strausburg i'll throw him on in 5 inn
I'll put 10 bucks on it for a learning experience and see just how close i come,if i am lucky maybe hedge later game
I really need to see every starter pitch at least one start and preferably 2 starts to get the correct feel who is for real and who is not and then marry them to past performances and records of past years for a better insight
Baseball is a long season and we will have our moments both bad and good but as season progresses we will do well as i have done in the past and have back up to prove it.I copy all my wager vouchers to remind myself you will have both good and bad days as long as the good out shines the bad

I do mostly all 5 inn plays as for me its Starter vs Starter and i do a lot of work involved with Starters as to me they are the main Players in the game and everything else is secondary
A lot of low #'s today as odds makers are also expecting Starters to bring their A game
Cain/ Kershaw 6
Hernandez/Anderson 6.5
