2014 Spring Training

Question

have a lot of back up from years past and esp last year in ST that i believe is interesting although it is a new year and will be interesting to see who comes out swinging

last year Kansas City just about owned ST with those 2 majow win streaks

Been working on MLB as it takes me almost a month to put everything together and yes i am ready by end of Feb tor 1st game

Royals had a fantastic ST last year with a 10-0 and 8-0 win streak in month of March (18) wins was impressive

Oakland had a 7-0

Minn and Colorado both had a 5-0

On the losing side we had

Cubbies and Cleve both had an 0-6 loss streak along with both having an 0-3 streak as well although they both were able to get one 4-0 win streak in there at one point in ST

Nationals also had a 0-5 loss streak as well but did balance it out with one 4-0 win streak to help

Cinn scored 10 runs in 1st 2 games to start ST (20) and lost both

games

Braves lost their 1st 3 games

Seattle lost its first game and then went on a 9-0 win streak scoring 95 runs and allowing 55

One last note regarding MLB i do not do the streaks system the same as i do in Ncaab I follow Streaks to continue in MLB as i have seen over the years teams that get hot in ST usually follow thru at least till the first week into Regular season

Not saying History will repeat itself but we will see by 1st week how things look and where the easy Money lies and nothing wrong in picking up a few bucks to pad bankroll for pending season

Guys great to see all and yes if GL shows up we could be in for a VERY GOOD MLB Season and with Key in the mix we may go undefeatedI love first 5 inn for regular season Starter vs Starter in early and out early is my mottoKey will Jeg and the others be joining us again this year????In ST i also compiled a running runs scored vs runs allowed which i found useful to find who had the momentum going into the next game as in ST its all about who is winning and scoring runs vs who isn&#x27;t as nobody plays the entire game and many are short games due to weather and all crazy things that happen and rarely extra inn and if so it never goes over 1 inning b4 being called

been reviewing spring training games from last few years and boy Toronto sure owned the 2012 ST Season as if my records are correct and i know they are they only lost 4 games and winning 18 games in a ROW was just outstanding

St louis was the top dog in 2012 in the NL as my records see it winning 15 games with Giants right behind them

Royals last year 2013 also had a pretty good ST with as noted those 2 big win streaks of 10 and 8 for a total of 18+ wins

The NL did not have any stand out teams over powering ST last year as my records show so i guess its an open free for all this year for someone to step up

corp we have quite a few pretty clever guys in this thread to watch not only for ST but for season as we do a lot of First 5 inn Starter vs Starter which also lets us get in early and out early and we also get a lot of pushes rather than losses if stay for entire game

First 5 starter versus starter is normally a ml bet also, not s separate form of betting. What Stevo is referring to is that you don&#x27;t chew your fingernails to the bone worrying about bullpens, managers decisions and pinch hitters after the first 5 innings are complete. BOL

Morn double 009 and othersI love first 5 inn plays and rarely play a full game. After many years i have been focusing more on 1st 5 inn and find it a more worthy play as to me its all about the Starters.I also have developed record spread sheets with runs allowed for the last 5 years ,so at a moments notice i can go to that teams file and pull up all their starters and see what they have done for any year in first 5 and what the final score thru 9 inn wasPlus your in and out of a game usually in 2 hours tops and on to the next play and great if you like to parlay plays together as no waiting for that extra inn game to finish to poss make that next wager with next game ready to start It also lets you focus on what Starter is on his game and who isn&#x27;t as some starters need a month under their belts and longer where others are sharp from day one and with 5 inn its usually always just the starters records and no relievers involved so you get a more accurate record of that each individual Starter&#x27;sability to get the job done with no helpDoes anyone have an easy way to get the top 5 starters for every team without having to go to each teams home page to find who they are and even then you do not always get the answerI like to prepare individual record sheets for every starter for every team and i use that for the season to post their results of completions for season which give me a better understanding of what i can expect from him on his next start

The last couple of years i have only been betting for some fun and even then when i didn't do to much research on players , teams and stats ect it was very profitable. this year i have decided to be more (professional about it with better money management)

as i said before i have only done full game money line and was interested in getting some advice from other people on different game options if you don't mind sharing some of your experience.

Do you play totals as well?

I like to follow the top win streak and loss Streak teams after the first week of ST as i find a lot of teams go on long win streaks due to their hitting and Pitching although no body rarely plays the entire game or at least finish game until near the end of ST and games can get called early due to many things

I have records of last 3/4 years of ST for all teams so i usually look to see who did the best over the last few years although i know a new year but managers usually go in same direction and you do see a standard in game flow as how manager runs his trials of players and pitchers

last year Kansas City had 10 game win streak so i will be watching them

Seattle lost its first game and then went on a 9-0 win streak

Cinn had a 1-8 loss streak in their first 9 games

Not saying all these teams will repeat but some will as they always do

In 2012 Toronto went on an 18 game win streak

Seattle went on a 6-1 win streak its first 7 games

Oakland had a 7-0 win streak but was at mid season in ST

If you can catch these win and loss streak teams early you can usually get a good start into season with a nice bank roll

Another weird strange stat

Arizona,Cubs,and Cards have lost is first ST game in each of the last 3 years

Likewise Colorado,Marlins,Brewers,Detroit, all have won their first ST game in the last 3 years

Cinn last year although scoring 25 runs in their first 3 games in ST in 2013 they Lost all 3 games 10-11,10-13,5-7
