Sorry, I don't follow any baseball leagues except the MLB. Good luck if you are playing them.

Bad news - that's sad
Good news - fewer Pollocks

Well, two or three weeks ago the players said "We surrender, just tell us when and where to report." We can all see how that worked out. Still arguing and negotiating. It is just as much the owners fault, they had a proposal on the table, then decided they wanted a better one. This is sort of like a guy says, "OK, I will work for the $20 an hour you offered, where do I report?" And the other guy replies, "Well, I've decided you are only worth $17 an hour." What a bunch of BS. If and when they do come back I will boycott every sponsor they can get to pony up the money. Maybe the sponsors can change their minds for them.

See what I meant? Same old sh/t. The MLB offers and the players reject. The clock and calendar advance, but the players keep screaming for more games and more money. Will they begin to get the hint when snow flies? The calendar stops for no one and more delays mean fewer games. For all I know the owners offer is still not just, but we have here an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. Somethings gotta give, and both sides are saying "It ain't gonna be us!"

The problem here is that the relationship between owners and players has reverted back to the days from free agency to the 1990's. For over 20 years we have had peace, but when push comes to shove they just can't help taking the gloves off and going at it with brass knuckles. f--k 'em.

These dipsh/t's on both sides don't have enough sense to hire a team (4-6) of neutral arbitrators to present them with a firm plan, and then say "We agree in advance to accept the arbitrators decision." One side, probably both, would come away with "We got screwed".

If they start extra innings with a runner on 2nd base, they might as well put a keg down there with him and make it a beer league softball game. My God, how they’ve destroyed this game....What’s next, a “rover” to make it a 4 man outfield? I may pull out of this Presidential race and go after Manfred’s job

I don’t know, Key. Depending on today’s players to get a runner home from 3rd is asking a lot. Better off going straight to a HR Derby if it’s tied after nine, like NHL shootouts. Dumbest thing I’ve ever seen....

OK, so maybe we can sub for the guy on second with a trained cheetah? Why not? We already have jackasses running the game. Let's make it "Menagerie Ball"

I had an awesome day at work. The guy I work with backed over a light pole, it was loud.
Saw a car accident. This pickup side swiped a chic which left sparks flying all over the place. He kept driving of coarse.
My buddy broke his finger.
Saw a crack person in a full onesy scooby doo pajama outfit, wearing a sandal on one foot, and a sneaker on the other. And what else could put the outfit together better than a Santa Claus hat and a pair of shades?
Then at a Walgreens, one of which that was looted real bad during the "protests", I witnessed pure greatness. A man tried stealing two bag fulls of goods. He ran for the door but security wouldn't let him through. The manager came in running and tackled him like he was Dick Butkus. The thief(at this point) pulled out a box cutter. Little did he know that the manager was well versed in Ju Jitsu. The box cutter hit the floor quickly. There were at least 10 to 12 people watching this, and half of them were recording it. The dude was pleading, yelling, "let me go! I can't breathe!" We all just looked at each other with a wtf look on our faces. I cheered on the manager(I know him well), it was impressive. The cops were called right away, but after 10 minutes guess what. Nada, nobody, crickets. They let the man go eventually, minus the merchandise, minus the box cutter.
Another fantastic citizen still out on the streets.
The manager is half hispanic, half Asian. He's a hero, and a flat out bad a s s.
Now what would the story be if it were a white cop, with all those cameras rolling? Just asking.

Quite a day sac. One of these days, after the election of course, I am going to talk to Log about you maybe being Chief of Staff for our administration. Slightly safer than delivering beer in South Chicago and almost as much fun, disappointing people the Pres doesn't want to deal with anyway. You will be able to dispose of your work early in the day and spend the rest of the time in the Covers Political Forum. Doesn't that sound like fun? No press conferences, you get a decent looking blond in a short skirt to handle that. Kick out the female reporters, they aren't distracted enough by the short skirt to forget pertinent questions. Life of Reilly.

So, after frittering away four months it is still going to take them another month to start the season. Opening day has never been so close to my birthday, not in 75 years. Pennant races from opening day on? That's a new one. Will the trade deadline still be July 31, a week after opening the season? I hope so, I would love to see these jerks work under some real pressure after hibernating long into the summer.

What I’m gonna hate about this 60 game season (besides watching minor leaguers masquerade as major leaguers) is that someone should be able to have a .450 BA and they’ll tout him as the next Ted Williams.....
Another thought: With such a short season, will starters be permitted to throw over 100 pitches and not have their arms fall off?

Log: the 100 pitch limit is acceptable to me if the four man rotation is employed. Otherwise you are very correct. In a four man rotation you are looking at 15 starts apiece, 5 man equals 12 starts apiece. Where is the stress?
At least we are discussing baseball again, that's progress

Key, I know what you’re saying about a 4 man rotation, but to me, pitch counts are BS regardless. They’re just trying to extend the careers of the current players because they know how bad the next wave is going to be. The deterioration of talent is ongoing....To me, it’s unwatchable.
