I can def see that happening, they have shown some positive signs heading into the break. Dempster is having 1 hell of a season. I agree with you the dog money on them will nice in the 2nd half

Atl wins the East

Thanks. It's obviously a long bomb, but I was just looking at the World Series Odds and will throw in a couple. Pirates look dangerous and are looking to add a player or two as well.Detroit Tigers have underachieved, but went into the break winning their last 5. Maybe they will go on a roll? pirates get quentin from sd for geritt cole while reds add hamels for heisey and a bunch of crap.  quentin breaks his leg in 1st game as pirate.  reds win central and nl crown.  reds/yanks in WS.

I know its not a huge longshot, but still pretty bold. Reds take the crown this year. Jocketty will do what needs to be done to give this team the best possible chance at winning the title.

Not only do the Nationals make the playoffs but they go all the way to the World Series!!!!  And lose to what ever American league team they play, whom I would assume will be the Anaheim Angels. 

Both pitchings staffs are too good.

The Pirates to break their losing season streak AND make it past the first round of the playoffs at the least!  You can go a long way with 2 very good starting pitchers as we have seen...

the reds are definite dark horse... i think they would benefit by having 1 more batter... i think theyre starting pitching and bullpen is fine

All three first place teams in NL WON'T win division. Remember this come October. Only team I think actually will have a chance is Nats.

cliff lee did get 1 in the first half.. so 0 in the second... i like it!!!

the demise of the phillies even more would be great
