- Gil Meche is pretty underrated. I like him to get off to a quick
start, and lead KC to a road victory this afternoon. Mark Buehrle has
been very steady over the years, but I like this new look Royals team
to get the W today. Good value here.
2. Florida Marlins (-145)
- The Marlins are going to be in the NL East/Wild Card race
right until the end. They usually beat teams they are supposed to beat.
I like them against Scott Olsen tonight. Olsen might be bringing his
"A" game against his old team, but Josh Johnson is the better pitcher,
and the Marlins are the better team.
3. Arizona Diamondbacks (-150)
- Dan Haren is a stud. Simple and plain. I also like young teams
against fast ball pitchers. So I like these D'Backs in this spot
against Ubaldo Jimenez and his 99 MPH fastball.
Good luck.

the only way in god's green earth this doesn't go over is if the hitters are indeed cold playing in chicago where the weather hasn't started warming up yet.
meche and buerhle are indeed underrated pitchers but you don't see them throw a gem too offten, they WILL get touched.
and whose to say they are warmed up themselves and don't come out throwing balls and strikes at a 3:1 ratio.
regardless i think the over is the play here. went rather large considering it is opening day for them. best of luck .
your other picks look pretty good, but with that much juice can't really afford to lose even one. what do you think of taking the brew crew vs. lincecum today? i think he follows the trends of sabbatthia and cliff lee from yesterday.

I don't like betting against Lincecum. In addition, I don't like backing Jeff Suppan, haha.
I think the Giants are an improved team this year and will do better than the Brewers.... but there is a lot of value in Mil today... I just wouldn't do it.
