Day 2: 1-0 +1.19 units
Day 3: 1-0 +1.19 units
Day 4: 1-0 +1.27 units
Day 5: 1-0 +1.01 units
Day 6: 2-0 +2.21 units

Total: 8-0 +9.19 units

Wagers will consist of only home underdogs. I will list qualifying leans throughout the day and narrow my final card down to one or two plays, sometimes none. Leans become plays when listed as an "Official Play".

Sunday 7/14 Qualifying Leans (As of 3:20AM ET via 5Dimes)

Marlins (Alvarez) +122

NO PLAY

Marlins (Alvarez)
- I would be hard pressed to back either of these starters tomorrow. We are all well aware that the Nationals simply cannot hit on the road but I actually expect them to have a decent offensive showing vs Alvarez. I also expect the Marlins to get to the Nationals starter Jordan. But I just can't imagine the Nationals being swept by the 2013 Miami Marlins. I'll fade the sweep.

great job.
the cards don't hit lefties quite well, only .232 over the season against lefties, .280 against right handers.

They definitely had their chances, as did the Nationals before they finally capitalized in the 10th. The bottom of the 9th ended with both teams only scoring two runs on 10 hits each. I expected a few more runs off of the starters in this one, but they both escaped troubled. It's tough to sweep in the bigs.

Cubs (Wood)
- Following their win on Friday, the Cardinals are now 27-8 following a loss this season. Conversely, the Cubs are 16-25 following a win. To be honest with you, coming into this series I had actually expected the Cardinals to take 3 out of 4 from the Cubs here with the Cubs only win coming with Garza on the mound. I had figured this Sunday night match up to be a game the Cardinals would get with Wainwright on the mound. Despite their well documented struggles vs. left handed pitching, this Cardinals 1 thru 8 tonight is hitting a combined career .337 vs Wood. Wainwright is arguably one of the best pitchers in the game, he has given the Cardinals 16 quality starts of his 19 starts in 2013. He's actually 8-1 on the road this season in 11 starts. The Cardinals own the better hurler, better bullpen, and better offense in this one. Not a situation I'd like to stare down while backing the Cubs. No play for me.

Both plays I liked very much so. Unfortunately, they didn't fit the approach I have going here.
