Ha! That's two pieces of bad advice. Hopefully newbies don't follow either of them. The key to winning long-term is consistency. Playing the rush is just about the dumbest thing you can do.

coming from a gambler  don't think your info is correct Ever get on a craps table ?? Play blackjack ?? your method will get you broke real quick most of the time   You have to bet  more as you're winning  imho

and jfyi  I've been gambling since betting on Oscar Robertson and cincy  .....in college..... and haven't been hurt real bad ever ..Couple of close calls but that's it

When you are hot and on a roll, press it up, when you are not, walk away, the longer you play "consistently", the house has the odds against you....imho

you sir know what it's all about ....the best are said to hit 57% or so ...The vig will eat a consistent player up

You guys are confusing different things. Playing a blackjack shoe with a strong plus count is not the same as craps, and nothing like sports betting. I've probably placed 10,000 sports bets in my life and have hit 55-60%. That is not the same as the coin flip that craps and bj present you. I promise you that 98% of guys on here are lifetime losers at gambling, and it is because they don't keep their dimes consistent.

At -110 the break-even % is 52.38........there is a huge difference between 55 and 60% and I would agree with the fact that 98% of people lose money gambling on sports because you have to be incredibly disciplined in making quality plays....the problem for most is sports wagering is addictive and most gamblers turn into action junkies and just can't win that way.....professional sports bettors rarely sustain 57-58% over a long term and 54-55% is what most except....60%, no way....
