I may have played this even without the trade. Cook is making a spot start and has been one of the worst pitchers in the Sox organization this year. Guthrie, who is usually fade material, actually ranks in the top 30 starters over the last 30 days. Both teams on the season are tied for 10th in my database against right-handed starters and with the loss of AGON, the Sox O-probability drops behind the Royals. So yes, I'm saying the Royals come into this game with Guthrie starting having the better pitcher on the mound and the better offense in the field. Oh yeah, and the Sox dugout is a fucking mess. The line says it all, oddsmakers did everything but make the Red Sox home dogs against one of the MLB's most known pitchers to fade. Give me the Royals.

ok, kidding aside, i'm pretty sure you either don't put down any money at all or you've lost some blindly tailing silly (which is a real achievement given his season stats)
my guess is you've joined in right before silly had his only(!) bad week of the season and lost big then you sat out some (winning) days before going really big on zona yesterday right?

Reds bats are hot too. I don't like that this is Garcia's first start in awhile. If he's limited in pitches that could mean 3+ innings of the Cardinals very poor bullpen. And of course Cinci has one of the best reliever staffs in the big leagues. Too many angles working against the Cardinals despite the big starting pitching advantage. I see the offensive probabilities as fairly similar and with the Reds having the much stronger BP, fielding and home field, the Cardinals are an easy no play.

The plus run line is pointless in Arlington if you ask me. Twins moneyline first 5 is the most responsible bet given the bullpen and last at bat advantages for the home team in the later innings. Solid value on a top 10 ranked offense in a hitters park.
