Ive already read the article you imbecile. Your ignorance and elementary understanding of the way the MLB operates is what causes you to not understand or take the flaws of hte MLB system seriously.
Not to mention the system in place allows the Yankees to expose the flaws and use their advantages to help them succeed.

The Sox market is also larger as those #s dont incorporate New Hampshire, RI, CT or western Mass.
Also the teams that share markets, more than one team, you more than less divide the markets to share them equally. No one team controls the whole market where there is a competing product.
Apparently you still can't read

A Yankee fan who knows and understands that the teams that won the WS, prior ot last year, was built through the farm system and bring up their own players. They won the WS playing by the same rules the other teams did. Then they strayed away from that and took advantage of the MLB system by starting to spend amounts never seen before and ti created a ripple affect throughout the league that is still seen today.
They have become a team that cna outbid and take/get any player they want. They leave the scraps for hte rest of the league.
A non-typical Yankee fan realizes these things and realizes how the Yankees have a clear-cut, unfair advantage over the rest of the league and every team in the league. They are still fans fo hte Yankees but do not gloat and act entitled because they are a superior franchise due to their spending capabilities.
Who said that I don't understand that? And since when are the Yankees not playing by the rules? Last time I checked...they've been playing by the same rules as every other team in baseball forever. And get over yourself. The Yanks had a smaller payroll last season than in 2008 when they didn't make the playoffs. So keep using that excuse. 3 players don't make a team.
Leave the scraps? Haven't they've been doing that for years now? Haven't you learned that it doesn't equal success.
And what fans don't gloat? If you're a "fan" and don't gloat...you're not a fan. I love the hypocrisy. People hate the people that sit in the expensive seats and wear suits because they don't show emotion and just talk on their cellphone and do business during the game and are there just to say they're there. If they don't gloat...does that make them more of a "non-typical" fan and better than "typical fans"?
So basically...the "typical fans" are the more passionate ones. Then FUCK YEA...I'm a typical fan and proud of it.
And I love the excuses. The Yanks have Jeter, Mariano and Cano who are 3 of the best players on the Yankees team but nope...they don't count because only home grown talent that take home town discounts count as TRUE home grown guys.

You said you had no interest in what was best for baseball if it was going to hurt the Yankees from being as dominant as they are.

METROPOLITAN population, which is what the MLB uses ...
You do understand that this area has the easiest ways to travel, thus making it easier ot attend games.
Someone who lives in rural Missouri is less likely to attend a game than someone who lives in CT and is equal distance to go to a Sox or Yankee game.
Do you know how many people live in CT and work in NYC??
Do you realize you didnt even take into account the Chicago market when listing teams... YOu just decided to eliminate Chicago. Do you realize you didnt even mention the Nats but mentioned the Orioles.
Or the fact that if you divide the markets in half with the markets with 2 teams that he Sox still rank ahead because its only one team in their respective market??
Do you want me to go on with how you are unable to look at data and logically apply it to the situation?

Thats 2 articles that contradicts EVERYTHING pero says... I'll find more
Contradicts absolutely nothing. As the only thing I have said in this thread is state that the Orioles do not receive the money you claim.
I have spoken at all about anything you are blabbing about because for the third time I have already spoken at extreme length about this topic and it it pokes holes in both the articles you posted.
I can easily go find articles that discredit the ones you posted but I dont really care. You are trying to have a pissing contest with yourself.
keep it up.

THis being said by the Yankee fan who admitted over the summer that he didnt care if the rest of baseball struggled as long as the Yankees kept winning.

I never said that. What I said was that the Yankees do come FIRST among anything else. As a real fan of any team should think. And it doesn't matter what I think because nothing will ever be changed. And the rest of baseball isn't struggling. The Rays, Padres, A's, Jays, Reds, Braves, Rockies and Marlins are doing very good work without having high payrolls.
And you KNOW that the O's have a ton of money. But what do they spend it on? Millwood? Atkins? Gonzalez? Just seems like bad general managing moves to me.

Metro North has a freaking stop at YANKEE STADIUM.
You can take a train from CT directly to Yankee stadium. Their market extends outside the NYC area. In a 20 min drive you can get ot Yankee stadium from New Jersey and that is not part of the market.
You are unable to be look at data and articles and not be bias. The difference between me and you is that I am a baseball fan and want what is in the best interest of baseball for every single fanbase and team.
You on the otherhand dont want that and just want what is best for the Yankees and its fans.
Just as Sparky stated this past off season.

I think MLB should have a cap on how much MUST be spent per team. Maybe like an $85-$90 million limit per team. You talk about the positives NBA and NFL have for having a cap. Well...they must hit that cap right? Maybe MLB should do something about that. The Royals, Pirates and Orioles seem to be pocketing their money. Don't blame the Yanks for the ownership to want to hold onto their money. Yes...they can go out and get $150+ million payrolls...but $100 is totally reachable.

Would you back a plan in MLB where they shared all revenue streams, like NFL, inserted international FA into the draft, put a cap and floor in place? Now this would create a more level playing field and more or less eliminate the advantage the Yankees hold over every single franchise.
Or would you want baseball to stay the way it is?
The way you answer this question will tell the truth if you care about baseball and a level playing field or the way it is set up now where it is the Yankees and the rest of baseball.

How many languages do I have to say it in for you brick heads to understand the Orioles do not receive the money you are alleging.
They ahve paid more in than they have received.
So how is that pocketing money???
Why should they blindly spend money on players who are left overs that would not make their team competitive. What is the point of signing players past their primes just for a name on a team not built to contend?? Where is the incentive in that?? How is that a business savvy move?? Why waste millions of dollars for that instead of saving that money for players in the future??
You act like this is a year by year industry adn that moves made now will not affect the state of hte franchise 5-10-15 years down the line.
in the Yankees case it doesnt. They can have a $100 million dollar bust and absorb that sunk cost and continue to do business as they do. The other 31 teams are unable to operate that way and you do not seem to grasp that reality.

It's very easy to say that when you cheer for a team who hasn't been relevant in over 10 years.
But as it was said in past threads...players would WANT to play for the Yankees. In a sport with contract limits, people would take paycuts to win. Look at the Lakers and Celtics in recent history. Why have they been relevant lately? Because they had guys who WANTED to be there. Those are storied franchises. Will LeBron stay in Cleveland? Probably not. Why? Because why stay in Ohio when you can go to Illinois or New York? No offense to anyone who lives in Ohio...but when it comes to sports...Ohio isn't exactly the ideal place to be. Lets see. Baltimore and New York want you to play for them. You're being offered the same contract (or a contract within $5 million dollars from each other) where are you going to go?

You wont find one cause ti doesn't exist. So keep up the lies and misinformation and bias attitude.

You wont find one cause ti doesn't exist. So keep up the lies and misinformation and bias attitude.
The main thing is from 2000-2010. That's when the Yankees' payroll really started to jump and they've only won 2 in that span. And 4 teams won the WS who were wild cards if I remember correctly.

You are making up supposed facts, in your mind and fantasy world.
THE ORIOLES DO NOT RECEIVE MONEY FROM REVENUE SHARING. YOU DO NOT SEEM TO GRASP THIS RELATIVELY EASY CONCEPT WITH CONCRETE DATA.

Honestly...it wouldn't matter to me. Like I said...more players would still want to play for the bigger market teams over the smaller market teams. Ricky Rubio wasn't quite thrilled that he was drafted to the Timberwolves.
But it's impossible to do. What are you going to do? All of a sudden just tell Albert Pujols that you can't have all this money because we're going to put a cap in place, and screw him out of all he's done while Jason Schmidt and Carl Pavano got all that money for hardly making any starts? It just can't be changed.
