So this is a tough one. McHugh has been stellar as I expected this season. Besides his one poor performance against the Giants he has been clutch for the Astros. He has a 3.08 ERA on the road. I think he will be bringing it tonight. Simon has been pretty damn good for the Tigers as well. His Home ERA is amazing at 1.25. He has not lost a home start this season, winning two and taking a no decision in the game against the Twins.
There is no denying that the Astros are playing great ball. I am expecting a lot of the forum to be taking them straight up. I just get an uneasy feeling about this. They have what it takes to win, but the Tigers are so unpredictable. Huge bats and so much offensive potential at almost every position. This game could easily be decided by a homerun off of several powerful hitters. I personally think both pitchers are going to be lights out.. And this game will be pretty dull. I like the under right now.. But then we are hoping the Tigers bullpen does not suck.. Like they always do.. They are God awful.. And have the ability to let the Astros beat the under late in the game.
Still mulling this one over. I just wanted to speak outloud on some of my thoughts.

I think that you already have the answer on the play in this one from your analysis. It's a fair assumption that the main pitching match up might just end up as a wash of a pitcher's duel, however, when it comes to the BPs in the later innings the Astros have the decided edge. Especially when you consider the fact noted in today's Covers game preview that, Houston leads the majors with 78 runs in the seventh inning or later this season. Add that to the Tigers gascan BP and you have a dangerous combo. I think the Astros should be the play here. BOL in whatever you decide to do.
