40 man rosters as of September 1st..no shortage of pitchers/new arms that most teams have not seen before and a lot of new position players that were called up that probably don&#x27;t belong in the Majors that can&#x27;t hit...Then u have a game like the Rays/Blowjays who treat this game as a Quasi playoff game...and everything is tight as there is a lot on the line

&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Same philosophy...A lot of teams called up players from the minors on September 1st so they won&#x27;t burn years under control with their team..Otherwise they would not be called and up and be playing.....Its really about seeing what your young players can do rather than winning games with veteran players who were on the MLB roster all year
