Given how they playoffs have gone with so many sweeps and teams clearly on a collision course with destiny if you are play these two to make the WS you still are laying -330. That is insane. I really hope that either clear underdog can rise up and win. I have a lot of money against the Diamondbacks but like the Phoenix maybe they will rise from the asses. Seems very hard to believe after last night. But we will see. Both the Rangers and Phillies just seem unbeatable. But for that one come back by Atlanta the two of them have been.

Interesting for sure. It seems like we got here so fast with these remaining teams! Hoping we get an actual series at some point…. Unless you’re the aforementioned fans. Take care.

Underdog down 2-0?! One thing about baseball is it is streaky. You are either hitting or you are not. Either hitting the spots or not. We have Mad Max on the mound tonight who got absolutely rocked the last time he pitched against Houston. Tonight he earns the money the Mets paid him.

You trust Christian Javier against rangers lineup though? Guy has massive control issues. You can get away with that against twins but no way you can against rangers who go 9 deep. If you believe scherzer gets hit over better play.
Success is never final, failure is never fatal, and it's the courage that counts.

Forgone conclusion? No. Probable in my opinion for sure. They just both look far and away better. However do opinions change after a win from the Stros tonight? Believe it or not Javier seems to be the "DOG" for the Stros you want on the bump in these situations. ESPECIALLY on the road where the Astros have strived.
Christian Javier and the Astros are 10 AND 0 in his last 10 starts as an underdog including game 4 of the NLDS. Even more impressive.... 9 out of 10 of those wins have came on the ROAD.
Give me the Astros, give me my man Javier in this situation all day every day. I hate stepping in front of the freight train of 7 straight wins but in a day where Max could be on a short leash this pen may finally get exposed.

Freudian slip. Meant ashes but typed ashes. I guess that too. I have a feeling they win 1-2 at home tomorrow through Saturday. They have pride. Despite last night I don't see them packing it in. Question is do they win 2-3 and force the series to head back to Philly? If there is a game 5 I will be there personally to watch it.

Where did I say the Rangers were losing to the Astros? Rangers are not losing a game until they play in Philly.

your comments on the Phillies wanting it more have a lot of meaning. I played college baseball for a team that just won B2B National JUCO championships. We didn’t win it the third year and part of the reason was we were not a TEAM like the couple years before. Those guys partied hard, fucked the same girls, kicked ass together and were the embodiment of a team. That’s what I see with the Phillies. To win, one also needs a little heartbreak in their heart and this Phillies team has it all. Just look at the batting averages from both teams in this series. I do think the Phillies win it all this year. A couple guys to make it on those teams were Junior Spivey and Travis Hafner. The only two guys who would come back and practice with us before Spring Training.

Javier hasn’t been getting hit. He’s also been nails in the playoffs for a few years now. Hard disagree on equating an Astros win with the over in this spot.

I said over a week ago one of these teams is winning it all. They are both hitting and pitching great. My favourite pitcher this post season is Montgomery.
The only sure thing about luck is that it will change.

I really like that Phoenix rising from the ashes analogy. Remember when the St Louis Cardinals football team first arrived in Arizona, they were the Phoenix Cardinals

Both of these teams took a step back today. The Rangers have to be reeling. The Astros have now beaten them 7 straight times in Arlington, and they've done it by a cumulative score of 74-32!. That's an average final score of 10.6 to 4.6. The Rangers can't even compete with this team in their own park!
