Arizona's Ian Kennedy is 5-0 with a 1.87 ERA in his last eight starts and is seeking his fourth win in as many outings. The Marlins' Anibal Sanchez is 4-0 with a 1.64 ERA in his last seven games so that's why we get a fair price on Kennedy and the D-backs tonight. The problem for Sanchez is that he, not Kennedy, has to contend with baseball’s hottest team.
The Diamondbacks (30-24) have a chance to win eight straight for the first time since April 4-12, 2008, have won 15 of 17, and are coming off one of the best offensive performances in franchise history. Arizona had 19 hits - one shy of the club record - in Monday’s series-opening 15-4 drubbing of Florida.
Ian Kennedy won his only start against Florida last July 10, allowing two runs and five hits over 5 1-3 innings. He gave up one run and scattered seven hits over eight innings in Wednesday’s 2-1 victory at Colorado.
Marlins starter Anibal Sanchez has a poor recent track record versus the Diamondbacks, going 0-1 in two starts over the last three seasons - both at Chase Field - while allowing 10 runs and 17 hits over 10 1-3 innings. Florida will try to avoid losing 3 in a row for the second time this year, and they'll have to do it without All-star Hanley Ramirez who will be sitting this one out.
Arizona is the play here.

There are a bunch of factors that make me want to take the marlins actually...i think the books are smart to offer a home team with that many wins at -125 and not -175...itll make everyone hop on board a train that goes off a cliff...who knows..cant tail em forever; sanchez is the better pitcher.

I disagree. I think Kennedy and Sanchez are on the same level, if anything edge to Kennedy.

Florida hit .500 the one time they faced Kennedy; Sanchez is no gimme on the mound for the M's. Not trying to slam your thread, just some facts to consider.

Both BP's are tires and both BP's aren't very good to begin with....1ST 5 Inns. for me (even money too)
GL to all today
Marlins BP ranks 11th in xFIP and Dbags rank 7th. Arizona's pen is well rested but Marlins isnt. 1st 5 is still a solid play but both these starters are very capable of going 8 or 9 innings. If that's the case, you lose value for any inning they go past 5. Plus the total for game just moved up to 8.5 -110. Playing the full game here. BOL ALL

bought back my under bet... The line movement scared me off. Put my money on Ari instead. Bats for AZ are too hot to play the under anyway. Sanchez hasn't pitched as well on the road this year. Has given up almost 4 free passes /9 and has closer to a 4 xFIP on th road. I think the under is trap now after further research. The under seems too good be true so....
