Ball is gonna jump in Philly
i started a thread on this game going over. i LOVE the over in this game, and with winds in between 0-10 the o/u is 5-1 this year in philly.
looking like high 60s at gametime with a wind from the NW at 7mph (or so they say)

Good luck either way you play. But I rather be on the over cause when Phils start to crush Gorzo who are they going to bring in to settle things down? Have you seen the Cubs pen stats of late nothing to write home about. Hitters park, 60 year old Moyer gave up 10 to the Cubbies last season and is averaging 7 runs of support per contest. I think this game not only goes over but goes well over. Cause of your play I will buy it down to 9 instead of taking the + money. But this game to me screams over.

pulling the trigger as well. this should fly over. take a gander at the phillies TT over 4.5 as well.

doesn't the humidity go against the ball flying high?
Humidity isn't going to effect a ball much which is in the air just a few seconds. The humidity effects the pitchers who get gassed out there when they have long innings with men on base. they tend to give up on their out pitches, make mistakes, and good major league hitters know how to make you pay for it.

I am 20 minutes from Citizens Bank Park and it feels to be in the high 80's the ballpark is small to begin w/ but you add into the fact the temperature is gonna be comfortably warm it just shortens it that much more. Gorzo has been garbage of late and Cubs pen is nothing special either. Phillies love to score for Moyer and thier o/u record after a loss speaks for itself
Not sure why you say Gorzo has been garbage of late...he has one start all season where he allowed more than 3 runs and that was his last when the wind was blowing straight out at Wrigley. He has a nice 43:15 K:BB ration in 40 innings. Not saying the game won't go over, but just stating I think Gorzo has been pretty sharp.

Always appreciate your insight GH. what i was lookin at, was in his previous 3 starts hes given up 10 earned runs in 18 innings of work. now in those 3 games the final scores were, 10-6, 14-2, and 10-5. he hasnt pitched horrid, i agree, but whomever comes in after him tends to get shelled. phillies might have a little chip on their shoulder after last night's putrid performance against Mr. Duke as well

well the last time Gorzo pitched I watched the game on WGN and can tell you Brenly and his copilot were talking about the struggles w/ high pitch counts etc. K's/BB's is a decieving stat if you are throwing 20 pitches an inning to strike out 3 hitters.
high strike out pitchers often have high pitch counts...he may not last past 6 innings, but the guy averages more than a strike out an inning and he has been one of the Cubs better starters.
