tins i have a question for you. i bet tigers ml -130. then i started looking at rl for both teams. my guy had det rl +160 and tx rrl +175 . with a 70% chance of one team winning by more than 1 run i thought betting both teams -1.5 was a pretty good bet. Am i off here?

tx is the number one rl bet in mlb and detroit is above average. i thought my chances of detroit were good and felt if tx did win tonight it would be by more than 2 for sure

obviously, if either team wins by 1 run , i lose both bets

You'd be risking two units to win 6/10 to 7/10 of a unit. If the game ends at one l run, you're out two units. You have to decide if you're willing to do that. I would'nt do it because of the maximum gain is only approximately 1/3 of what you're risking. I know of people that thought this was a good bet and were winning until the roof caved in on them. Eventually the one run games will kick in and you will have to win 3 games for every one run loss. Not a long term moneymaker in my opinion.

I believe Texas' RL record has to do with the true run line and not the reverse run line.

good point tins. i didnt even think about that fact that tx rl is not a factor if they are the dog. oh well, thats why i hang out with smart guys like you ....
