Beat the sweep system

away teams proving to be costly.. 3 in a weeks time

Yup - took a beating this weekend. +6 then Yankees cost -23, Cubs cost -25. System is at -40 (-$4000). Back right where we were at after that Dodgers series earlier. Might have to re-assess away teams.  

I have faith in the system, it was over 100 two years ago and 140 last year.

I agree wholeheartedly that the system might need a little tweaking, however I still have 100% full confidence in it. Maybe we need to look back & see what is actually eating up all our profits. Maybe it’s the amount of juice we lay, put a cap on it, or stay away from road teams. (if they are the reason for the loss of profits) REGARDLESS, AS YOU MENTIONED, I’M ALL IN FOR THE LONG HAUL. 

Tough to cap the juice - Teams win game 3 or 4 all the time, and i'm not just losing 7-10 units and moving on. There's no way that will be profitable.

Road teams are another story. Might have more stringent rules to take road teams. Just food for thought.

Mon Starts: SEA, ARI, HOU, ATL- Seattle and ATL wins, Chasing ARI and HOU

Tues Starts: None - MIL is a 2 game series and no other ones really fit. 

This System has some merit, but basically a flawed betting strategy.  Eventually its going to empty your bank roll.

Thanks for the insight. Please show me where you have won 100 and 140 units in a baseball season? I have it documented clown. 

Sweep all 4 series before game 3. +4 units. System is at -36 (-$3600) on the season.

Maybe you need to stop reading your beginner's sports betting blog.  Try reading this - all of it.  It might help you from embarrassing yourself here.

This is the very best thread for me, and I do like the system a lot. Will start playing soon, but with one minor tweak. I will skip every single season opener for 3 game series. So, if Home team loses game 1, I will bet on them for game 2 an 3 (if necessary). I do apologize if this suggestion had been made, haven't read 100% of this thread.

Skipping game 1 is the absolute worst thing you can do... We looked into the numbers last year. 

To each his own though. Start it now and let me know your results. 

THURS starts: MIL - NOT playing HOU at TB. Away teams have cost us too much already and TB is actually 20-16 at home.

FRI starts: CHC, SEA, ARI  - NOT playing LAA, away team that is borderline.

Small card, but hopefully + units.

No worries, but even looking back to this series. Would have lost 4 units on ATL instead of winning 1. If you're looking to minimize losses, this system probably isn't for you. 

This makes no sense.  You are simplistically assuming that a home team losing the 1st game of a series increases the chances they will win the 2nd or 3rd game, without any regard for pitching, etc. 

Even if all things were equal for every game, this would be like going to a roulette table and betting red only after black hits, assuming the black hit makes the probability of red more likely - which of course, is nonsense.

The fact that you are betting on a home favorite should make you want to increase the number of games to bet them since the probabilities are with you each game. 

If you're afraid of losing too much in a sweep, either wait until you have a larger bankroll or bet less for the 1st game.
