I sometimes wonder if playing no run first inning in like 75% of the games in a given day is a good idea. Generally in a given day you'll see 6-8 games have a run score in the first out of 15, but among them are games that most people wouldn't touch on that bet. There's usually a good deal of chalk to deal with, but I think a good amount of damage to be done betting no runs on a bunch of a day's games.

 

By the way Sully, there were 9/15 games with no score 1st yesterday, not 12. I'm trying to track this every day.

HEY I TELL YOU GUYS ON THING I HAVE A FRIEND THAT 2 TIMES A MONTH WHEN THERE ARE 15 GAMES BEING PLAYED HE PUTS DOWN 500 ON EACH GAME. SINCE HE HAS BEEN DOING THIS TYPE OF SHIT, I HAVE TO SAY HE HAS NO COMPLAINTS. DON'T GET ME WRONG THERE ARE TIMES WHERE HE HAS TO PAY THE PIPER BUT OTHERWISE SOMETIMES HE PICKS SOME PRETTY GOOD WEEKS. SO IT'S ALL THE LUCK OF THE DRAW. HEY I WOULD NOT DO IT ON FULL GAMES I CAN TELL YOU THAT I THINK YOUR ODDS ARE A HELL OF ALOT BETTER WITH THE NO RUNS IN THE 1ST IN SHIT THAN THEY ARE ON FULL GAMES. Here is a little info on the 1st 5 innings no score VERLANDER vs. FISTER....curently listed at NO SCORE -150 1ST INNING...

Verlander in his 13 starts has given up a run only 2 times.  The Tigers have scored 4 times in his 13 starts including the last two times vs. Red Sox and White Sox.

Fister has given up a run in 4 out of his 11 starts and there have been only 5 out of 11 games without a run scored for both teams.  He gave no runs in his start vs. Detroit earlier this year.  I would roll with it as a person who lives in Michigan and goes to Comerica about 15 times a year.  The weather is overcast (looking outside right now) and a bit humid with a slight wind.  However, it will be cool 68-70 during the game.  This is first game of a 8 game homestand and there is feeling of excitement in Detroit for the Tigers....teams returning home usually relax a bit.  GO FOR IT PEOPLE!!!  RESULT.  Seattle 4, Detroit 3.  No runs in first inning.  Seattle scores 1st (3rd inning).....

Guys, look at post #145 (page 6) for his saturday leans. Be very careful looking into those saturday leans though. I followed his friday leans and only 1 hit out of 5. Needless to say I lost quite a bit last night. Only myself to blame for slapping down too much $. I think I would just prefer to play when he is actually online, so staying away from those sat leans due to possible pitching changes etc...

Yeah- last night was a good night to YES to run in the 1st.
I actually prefer playing the YES side- since the juice is almost always lower and most time +$$.
If you play this wager on day with games staggered throughout the day- you can very easily chase it until it hits. If you're picking YES- you lay less juice to make up the loss.
I start out low- $15-$25. The most I ever had to lay before a win was $150
Out of a full day of games you will eventually hit a YES and like I said- usually at even or plus $$

You need a decent roll put aside to chase it but:
It's a good wager to play that helps supplement your other wagers.

I think I used to do something like this. The frustrating thing with 1st innings score is that each day is different whereas most games either score in 1st or they don't. The night before last, I think a total of 9 were no runs and last night there were 10 games with 1st inning runs.

I probably might start back on this chase though and try to rebuild my BR somehow. All those YES scores and + juices are too tempting at the moment!
