I'm a Huge Twins fan and was at the game Wednesday against Pirates. Seems like defining moment came when McCutchen hit 2 run bomb to tie it in 5th, then Pirates took over game
Perkins has blown 3 save opportunities in his last 4 attempts (going1-3) including tonight, giving up 6 runs and 3 HR's in his last 3.2 Innings and new relief Pitcher Jepsen completely tanked.
Granted, they got a nice walk off win Saturday, but got lucky, and after tonight's loss, you could just see the morale draining out of the Twins, who did absolutely nothing to improve at the trade deadline.
Saw Rosen's Sports Sunday (local sports talk show) tonight and Molitor seemed lost as far as explaining what's happening, and how he's going to fix it. Without saying so, almost conceded game tomorrow (late night traveling, tired, depleted B.P. frustrations with Mauer........) saying what a great Pitcher Price is and blah, blah, blah.
Plus Twins batting average is something like .159 over the past 44 Innings.
Combine all that with FYL "smelling something fishy" and picking Twins and that's ALL I needed to hear. Give me Blue Jays RL (and possibly +2.5) tomorrow
