This
play is pretty much a 'fade' of McDonald. Even though McDonald is 2-0
in his last 3 starts, he has given up 22 hits in 16 innings pitched
during that span with 9 K's to 11 BB's. To allow 33 base-runners and
only give up 8 ER's, shows how 'lucky' he's been during that span. I
don't think he'll be so lucky against a Red Sox lineup today. McDonald
has a 4.89 FIP (#165), 4.63 xFIP (#166) and 5.02 tERA (#159). He's a
flat-out a very poor pitcher. Combine these numbers with his 1.48 K/BB
ratio and a GB% of only 38% and we have a pitcher who can get lit-up
against the best lineup in the league. Miller had a decent first start
for the Red Sox, and has pitched pretty well in the minors this year
with a 3.47 FIP and a 8.36 K/9 ratio. I like his chances of hanging in
there with the 5th worst hitting team in the majors. Red Sox have an
advantage in the bullpen, hitting, and fielding here. I expect this
lineup to get to McDonald early and often, as BoSox will 'avoid' a
sweep.

I went BIG on this cause I've lost 2 games in a row on Boston. I'm hoping they end their losing streak and the Pirates' winning streak tomorrow. This shit is starting to get ridiculous.

Agree with the pick but not all the reasoning for it.. McDonald has run through the raindrops a bit but there is a reason for that.. He has a great curve to go along with above average stuff but is young and learning to pitch.. Loves to be crusing along and then bam a bad frame or two and he falls apart.. If the curve is working he aint bad.. Also the pen for Pitt has been nails for most of the year.. Lean the over here for me.. GL..

It wouldn't be difficult to make a case that McDonald may be a better starting option than Andrew Miller (and that's not saying much) Of course the RSox are the better team over a long body of work, but at this moment, Pittsburgh looks like the team which is more excited to give the extra effort to win these games.
Good Luck

Line has shot up to -156 at bet365 and pinny has them at -149, if you look at yesterdays game only 3 Pirates hitters had good days the rest had very ordinary days at the plate add to the fact they certainly wont be emotionally there as there were huge celebrations after the game due to St Louis losing and being 1 game behind the Cards for 2nd position plus the fact they won the series...Boston for me today sir.

Let's do this! I had to parlay them with the Phills b/c the line shot up on me this morning I really like the over in the White Sox game. Why do you like the under?
