Glaus is back in there and Infante is at third. Conrad has no right starting. He was a bench player all season. He's clutch with the bat in a pinch hit role...but keep him on the bench until the pitcher's spot comes up.
Diaz batting 2nd? Eh. I rather have him more towards the middle of the lineup. Maybe swap with Gonzalez.

Can't see that. Burrell, Huff, Posey, Uribe, Sandoval and whoever else they throw in the outfield (Ross, Guillen, Rowand) will not bunt. Torres...possibly. But do you really want to give up a hit if it's an unsuccessful bunt when the guys who are capable of doing it are being followed up by the only guys who you can really count on (mainly Posey).

agree. keep in mind dlowe pitched 29th on 3 days rest and got win threw 99 pitches. Then had week off but now asked to come back again on 3 days after throwing 96. at most we get 6 innings out of him and think bullpen in shambles after last nite. Madison B ERA is 1.75 lower at night than daytime. DLowe is .5 higher at nite. SF has no pressure at all on them going home either way. like someone said Braves cant hit beachball now. yeah hope im wrong i dont mind losing my bet just think my Braves are toasted now

I like the moves. Cannot hurt much more to have Glaus in the field instead of Conrad. Lowe has been solid down the stretch and I think he will continue tonight. Hopefully the Braves stop swinging at pitches out of the strike zone like they have been doing all series.

You've also got to take into consideration Glaus at 3rd.
Let's talk this through for a minute. Glaus carried this team on his bat for a month during the season and then his body(knees) just broke down. He couldn't field or hit.
Atlanta went out and signed Derek Lee because it was obvious Glaus wasn't going to make it through the rest of the season at 1st base. As a result of signing Lee, Glaus was moved to AAA Gwinett and played some 1st & 3rd base(his supposed natural position).
He was called back up quite some time ago but has not played at all.
So when Prado went down in the last week of the season, Atlanta put Conrad at 3rd and kept Infante at 2nd. After botching 2 routine DP ground balls in consecutive games against Philadelphia(which blew open both games), Cox swapped Infante to 3rd and Conrad to 2nd.
My question/comment is, what does that tell you about Glaus's condition? I can only assume Cox felt Conrad's bat & glove were better in the field than Glaus could have provided.
So now tonight Glaus will be put in a key defensive position at 3rd base? Not sure if it is an upgrade, downgrade, or no difference at all.
